thank goodness for Pritchard stupidity, in a sense. Supposedy clev/indy/den had a tentative agreement where pg goes to clev, love to den, harrish/13th pick to Indy. Instead obviously Indy took 2 tamales instead hahaa. But dam imagine Kyrie/Pg/Lebron, I wonder if Kyrie would still have wanted out. Anyways if I were Clev I do something with Pho, get Bledose to somewhat replace Irvine and ask for the likes of Dragic, Pho pick and Mia future 1st. Get win now pieces and protect yourself against Lebron departure at the same time.

Always good to see Kobe's name injected this way into these kinds of conversations.

Pau goes back to the Spurs on a 3/48 million dollar deal. Assuming the deal is flat (at least the 2nd year), it should be 16 million dollars.

That means if Gay, Aldridge, and Green decline their options and the Spurs decline the QO on Anderson, Forbes, and Bertrans, the Spurs will have roughly 57.7 million in guaranteed deals. That means they'll have roughly 46 million to spend.

They'll have Kawhi, Pau, Mills, White, and Murray on their books. Any max guys eager to join?

Pau wouldn't be appealing to me as a FA. He's perpetually one season away from being done.

So I guess Ian Clark and Ennis it is? What about Derron Williams instead of Ennis?

I hope we move on quick now, I'd make that offer to Clark.

Don't really understand a lot of the excitement around Clark, but at this point just get the back up position solidified ASAP.

It's not excitement, it's that I don't want Alex Caruso to be our backup PG. He's best available. If he turns us down pretty soon you'll hear us searching the G-League for a guard or calling up Kirk Hinrich or Baron Davis. We are in desperate territory now. :D

No doubt, just felt that there has been more of a hype around him. I would be fine with him or Ennis. Wouldn't be shocked if they kicked the tires of Deron Williams either.

His positives though are he's young, has potential, and he's played for Luke already, knows the system we want to run.

I agree. Outside of maybe him knowing Luke's system, I don't see the hype either. Maybe it turns out good for us. Kinda knew once Kyrie demanded a trade that we were out of the running for D-Rose.

THANK GOD WE DIDNT SIGN ROSE!!!! PHEW!

This all but ensures that Lonzo will be playing 32+mpg next year.

No choice but to play him BIG minutes.

Hopefully we sign Clark or Ennis now and call it an off-season....

    two bullets dodged.

i'm good with ennis, actually. i don't get why folks who were worked up about ingram's late performance weren't similarly encouraged by ennis's late season play.

i'd prefer clark, but i think he wants more cash.

i understand dwill, but he'd be a last resort for me. we need another body at pg who should be available for most games.

Why can't we sign Clark AND Ennis? Why is it only one? We have 2 roster spots left, Ennis clearly isn't in high demand. Does both of them put us over some luxury tax level or something? I prefer going into a season with 3 PG's instead of 2, and I've had this stance for many offseasons.

How would Brandon Jennings fit with this squad off the bench?

Do we have two roster spots left? Is that assuming we don't sign Bryant? Because I'd rather have a third back-up center then a third back-up guard. Clarkson can play some 1 if absolutely needed.

Plus, I don't know how willing Clark is to sign with us if he has to fight Ennis for primary back-up duties.

We are at 13 now including Bryant. I don't think Caruso counts in our 15 as he's on a 2-way contract.

    Ball
    Pope/Clarkson/Hart
    Ingram/Brewer/Kuzma
    Randle/Nance/Anchor around our neck
    Lopez/Zubac/Bryant

We have 2 spots left. The thought of JC playing backup PG makes me want to throw up, so that's why I guess I'm so intent on having multiple backup PGs. I expect Ball will miss at least a little time as slender rookies will do.
