Magic and Rob and throw Jeanie in there too, they aren't pushovers. I don't think they'll just roll over to LeGM's choices. The only roster move I want him to make is contacting that other star to come here and his name better be Paul George.

I mean, isn't it true? LeBron can easily, easily be argued as the GOAT.

Who needs a wand when your Magic yourself...

Pretty crazy in less than a year you can feel the appeal of the Lakers coming back, strong.

Argued. I don't even like LeBron but you can absolutely make the argument he's the greatest of all time. You can make an argument for Kobe, Jordan, Magic, Kareem, etc but LeBron is included in that list.

Yep. Agreed. Love or hate LeBron James he is definitely in that conversation.

Personally if I need to win one game with everything on the line I'll take #23 or #24 all day every day, but in terms of overall play LeBron is right there with the best of them.

LeBron to LA means we're trying to win a championship. If anybody is against that notion, it's time to change your attitude. We don't have a 2018 draft pick as of now and if we go lottery again, it only helps the C bags or the walking dead out in Philly. It's time to win and how does the best player in the league not get us there?

Some of y'all need to get on board. I understand you may not like him as a person but some of the best players have done some lousy stuff as people.... As long as they're working their butts off to bring LA back to title town, all is forgiven.

I dislike LeBron as much as the next guy.

But if bringing him on board means a few more rings, I'm all for it.

LeBron is an amazing player, and he has been getting better not worse in recent seasons. His averaging a triple double in the Finals was one of the all time playoff series performances.

But, no, I don't think there is any way to reasonably make a case for him as the GOAT. Not with a 3-5 Finals record with four of those five Finals loses while playing for two Super Teams. He lost with better teams than Kobe's last two Finals victories. And that's Kobe, who is not the GOAT. LeBron doesn't even approach the MJ / Kareem category. LeBron is clearly below the MJ / Kareem / Magic / Kobe upper level. He's still in the Bird / Hakeem / Wilt second level.

As far as becoming a Laker, I would prefer he would decide to never come here, but I'm already over it. He's coming and I am not crying about it. I'll support him as soon as he dons the Purple and Gold.

I don't think the Cavaliers are anywhere near as good as Kobe's last two title teams tbh and I love Kobe.

Pau Gasol was argurably the top big man in the league and during those two title runs was magnificent on both ends of the court.

Bynum was an All Star caliber center as well when healthy.

Lamar was undoubtably one of the most versatile, well rounded players in the game.

Yes LeBron has lost five Finals, but it's a team sport.

Realistically the only series he was favored in and should've won was against Dallas in 2011.

By 2014 Wade was already on a steep decline and that Spurs time had an all time great playoff run.

The next year when he returned to the Cavaliers he was without Love most of the postseason and Kyrie most of the Finals.

Last year he somehow managed to lead his team back from a 3-1 series lead in the Finals against a 73 win team.

This year LeBron averaged a triple double and they still got smoked because unfortunately somehow someway a 73 win team was able to add the second best player in the NBA.

Championships are important obviously, but they aren't everything in terms of determining a player's legacy because it's a team accomplishment not individual.

I feel the same way about Super Bowl rings in the NFL.

If he wants to come, I will support him. Never liked him, but he's an incredible player and a great mentor for our young guys. It would be a fun season for sure.

Are we seriously not going to put LeBron in the GOAT conversation because of his finals record?

How many players have been to the finals 8 times in their career?

And before you say "HE PLAYED IN THE EAST!"....a few of those teams had no business cracking the NBA Finals (namely the 2007 cavs), and a few of those teams had NO BUSINESS winning it all! (2016 Cavs)

Whether you love or hate him...LeBron is absolutely in the GOAT convo...and to me, he's actually right behind MJ in the GOAT convo.

Give LeBron the talent that Kobe, Magic, Kareem had, and he woulda won more than 3 titles already. Heck, when he DID have that type of talent, he went to the finals 4 straight years and like someone said, i will really only hold that 2011 finals loss against Lebron and it's one of the reasons I have him below MJ still (That was literally one of the worst finals performances I had ever seen from a superstar).

What put LeBron above Kobe for me was when he beat the Warriors last year...and got his 3rd finals MVP (one more than Kobe, and I don't care about regular season MVP's cuz Kobe should have had way more but media bias prevented him from that). Hate to say it but Kobe would have never come back from down 3-1 against arguably the best regular season team of all time. Kobe when being down 3-1 i believe has almost always lost that 5th game and never even taken the series to 6 (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Anyways, if you don't want LeBron on this team, you are basically saying you don't care about championships. All I care about right now are championships and making sure THOSE GUYS in GREEN do not get anymore rings!

Oh geez, LeBron hasn't even played here yet and we have people turning on Kobe. One of the last safe places to hate LeBron will disappear if he comes to LA I see. Makes me not want him even more. Guess I hate championships. Except LeBron lost to the Warriors in 5 games last season with 2 other all-stars now that they have Durant, so no team we put together in a year or 2 is beating them. Ugh, LeBron arguably the GOAT. You can't be the GOAT if you'd rather lose in the 4th than ugly up your stat line/shooting percentage. F*** LeBron.

Nobody is "turning" on Kobe. These are just facts and I've been saying this since last season regarding LeBron.

Anyways, I also agree that we're not beating GS even with LeBron and PG13 and whoever else....I'm totally fine with NOT getting LeBron but if we GET him, I GET why we're getting him and I'm not going to complain.

I'm also tired of losing and the C Bags are way ahead of us right now. They could be in the finals next year if Cavs actually trade Kyrie....and all it takes is one of the top 4 in GS to go down with an injury and the C Bags win it all. Let that sink in...

I like our chances against GS with Ball, George, Bron, Ingram and a decent C (Lopez will most certainly do)...
