If I'm Melo or the Cavs, the only way I agree to that is if Bron signs extension.

Melo/Bledsoe isn't going to get it done. :D

Okay so you trade away Kyrie and Love and you get Bledsoe and Carmelo in return.

That at best is a lateral move and argurably makes the Cavaliers worse.

Doesn't get them any closer to the Warriors considering you're trading away the two best players in the deal.

Exactly. Am I supposed to believe that Kyrie/Love is worse than Carmelo/Bledsoe? That sounds much worse if anything.

Cavs need to choose between Bron and Kyrie. I think it's easy like the Lakers chose Kobe. Always go for youth.

This is why you don't let any player no matter how great they're play GM.

Ironically if Griffin were still there, none of this is likely to be happening right now.

Yep. Given the cap restrictions they have Griffin did a terrific job assembling that roster.

This is hilarious on Gilbert. He didn't extend him at a critical time in this year's free agency because why? Didn't want to give him a raise?

Sounds like the best option for us would be if Kyrie was traded to Miami...

The Cavaliers are just as "dysfunctional" as the Lakers were the last few years.

Only difference is they still have their superstar in his prime in a pathetically weak East.

Once LeBron leaves they're right back in the lottery again.

That article brings to light so many of my fears of LeBron coming here. Takes over a franchise, changes the roster to suit his needs, alienates the young player with his "leadership". I do not want that to happen with Ingram and Ball.

I'm far from a Bron apologist, but he tried that in Miami and Riley killed it really quick, and Bron never tried it again (that I'm aware of). I trust Magic and Pelinka to have the backbone to do the same thing.

I think that's the best place for Irving - an Irving - Riley partnership. I said this before his "list of preferred destinations" came out to a friend of mine. Just makes too much sense...

Agreed. If LeBron wants that kind of power he can piss off.

I'd be perfectly fine just signing George and using the left over cash to re-sign KCP, Lopez, and Randle if that's doable.

Still would have an excellent team.

Agreed. LeBron is at a different point in his career and I don't think Magic is the personality to be pushed around. He'll sell LeBron on their vision and he'll tell LeBron to trust them. That's the only way this marriage will work.

Saw some random guy on Twitter say that LeBron could be to Lonzo what Kareem was to Magic which made a lot of sense to me actually although Kareem was 4 years younger than LeBron is now. Still he'd show a young PG the way to win, rudder the ship, and take the lead while Lonzo finds his own unique way forward.
