Well, Rose is supposed to meet with Cleveland soon, and if Kyrie isn't going to be there, there's the playing time he seeks...

We should be talking a 3 way between the Cavs, Lakers and Spurs if Kyrie really said that's where he wanted to go and both LLLLLabron and he told the Cavs.

As I said, if LLLLLabron goes to the Cavs and tells them he wants to be traded.

You make an offer just for due diligence whether you think Gilbert would trade LLLLLabron or not.

We don't ask questions like that. It causes anguish. Better not to think about such things.

Deng is Dung. Let's flush him with future picks. Out of site, out of mind.

I'd pull the trigger too, but I really wanna see what Kuzma can do in Purple and Gold. My attitude is we wait a year and get Bron and PG13 and schedule the parades.
No reason to give up assets.

I feel you. Only reason i think trading for James is good is for cap purposes but i guess that's on Clev not getting greedy.

Difference is i feel PG is in the bag. Lebron isnt unless theres already a wink-wink deal.

    Hell no.

Kuzma might be the stretch 4 who can also be a two way player the Lakers haven't had in years.

I see him as a less talented and skilled, but maybe more consistent shooting version of Lamar Odom. Yes I realize that's high praise because Lamar was a top 30 player in his prime and third best player on two championship teams.

    No way I'm trading that.

Worst case scenario, can't we stretch him in 2018? He'll only have 2 years left on his contract, so if we stretch him then, we'd be paying around 7.2m for 5 years?

I think its 9.something and close to 10. Though not the end of the world that extra 10 mill would be huge. Hell be traded by next summer..IMO at trade deadline when teams seasons go down the toilet.

If we stretch Deng this season he would cost us $7.7mil over 7 season.

I think we'll stretch Deng next year if we can't find a deal to trade him. There's no value in getting more cap room right now.

Yes, if we waive him in 2018. He's owed 36.8m over 2 years. Stretching him leads to us paying 7.4m over 5 years and we'd gain around 10-11m in cap room for 2018.

In terms of trades, we should talk to Chicago about Deng. Offer them a lightly protected (if not unprotected) 1st round pick and Deng to for Wade's expiring. Bulls might be able to save some money since Deng hates GarPax and would demand a buyout for less than what he's guaranteed. They also get another pick for their rebuild.

After trading Butler..Chicago probably needs Wade to sell tickets then hopefully they come to their senses and we make a trade at the deadline.

If we stretch him next off season. Stretching is 2 x (remaining contract years) + 1.

2 years are probably easier to move than 3...we can hope.
