Well, maybe Rose can be the starting PG there after all. Certainly won't look like a good situation though...

Think mgmt. needs to get up on this and trade for Lebron right now, offer up deng/jc/2 future unprotected 1st or something. It ain't winning us a ring but we'd be in the playoffs for sure and gurantee's PG here even more so next season

    Just to be clear...

You think we should offer Deng + Clarkson + 2 unprotected 1sts (or something) for the best player in the world, and that Cleveland just might accept that as a reasonable offer.

This is the rub right here... Boy... What do you give up? If you trade for LeBron, you're giving up one of Ingram or Ball + more...

I have come to realize that this is Khmrp's default trade for any and all top 20 NBA players. I think it's a macro on his keyboard.

offer can be made, doesn't have to be accepted. Would you rather I have thrown in Ingram and Ball instead?

:Magic2:, FYI Wade is not a top 20 player, that is the offer I made for Wade too hahaha, but only 1 unprotected 1st

He's arguably the best player in the league, what is a fair package for him? That changes when he's already more than half way out the door. Has the best player of any era been traded before?

Yes, Kareem was traded here from Milwaukee in the '70's, and he was far and away the best player in basketball at the time. It wasn't even close.

Legit LeBron offer starts with BIngram, and adds Randle, Clarkson, Zu + picks. Maybe have to include Lopez instead of Zu. Basically trade half your team. No way I start down that path. He's coming next year for $$$ anyway.

Honestly, this news changes nothing for this season. We aren't trading our two young cornerstones for a player who can leave us at the end of the season. If we weren't comfortable trading one of those two for PG-13 who is younger and expressed an unwavering desire to play here, why would we do it for a nomad like Lebron? And if we won't trade one of them, we aren't getting him or Kyrie or anyone else that would change the outcome of this season.

Remember that Bron has a no trade clause. Gilbert can either get a great mentor and a true professional in Deng and a young stud in Clarkson or he can watch Bron leave for nothing ;-).
