    I don't think Lonzo needs a mentor when he has Magic, and I don't think Rose is a mentor. Ian Clark could have never played an NBA game and be a better mentor for Ball than Rose. Stuff like this REALLY turns me off to Rose, shows an incredible lack of self-awareness.

    Ugh weezy did you have to remind us that Derrick Rose is a stupidest person in the NBA?

    Praying this doesn't happen and it's just Rose's camp trying to get more $ from other teams....

    (might be the first time I've wished for the "x player is interested in Lakers to get y team to offer more $" to actually happen)

    Go to Cleveland, Derrick. Then you can at least be in the company of "stars" who made it to NBA finals.

    If Rose signed with the Lakers this is what we'd be looking at.

    Lonzo Ball/Derrick Rose.
    Kentavious Caldwell Pope/Jordan Clarkson.
    Brandon Ingram/Kyle Kuzma
    Julius Randle/Larry Nance Jr.
    Brook Lopez/Ivica Zubac.

    I question the fit with Rose, but on paper definitely a much improved roster from just a month ago.

    Come on guys Rose as a back up pg is a f***ing steal. He's still only 28 years old. 15 mins a game as a backup isn't gonna ruin anything. I'm sure magic and Rob spoke to him about changing his game a bit

    Not nearly as talented as Rose, but Clark is unquestionably a better fit IMO.

    If Rose buys into the reality that he is going to back up a rookie PG and probably only play 20-25 minutes a game, I think he would be great.
    If he has expectations that exceed that, hope he signs with the cavs

    Yep. It's not about talent. It wasn't about talent with D'Angelo Russell and it isn't with Derrick Rose.

    Lakers are clearly trying to change their culture and build around high character guys. It's why guys like Rondo and Rose don't make a lot of sense.

    Umm, am the only one who has read the deposition and other documents pertained to Rose's sexual assault allegations off the court? Most of us would run straight for the exit if he was an FA...

    I'm for bringing in D-Rose. Whether he chooses the Cavs or us he's coming off the bench anyway. People forget Rose played the exact same style of attacking basketball we're gonna play at Memphis with Calipari. That leaves one more roster spot open. Bring back Tarik and let's roll.
