Man coming out of work to see the Lakers win it all and having Kuz and Ball bring home awards was awesome. Solid Tiger Woods fist pump was had in the parking lot. This team was just downright dominant this year. We lose Ingram, Hart, Nwaba, Dozier, Lonzo misses the champioship game, Koozie misses a game and we still win it all. Says a lot about the team and the guys on it. It's just a SL title in the end, but it's a giant step in the right direction.

It just feels damn good to win something after all these years of being crapped on.

I log back in to see Thomas getting love, the game must have gone really well. :D

Obviously like others have said: it's a stupid title, but it's our title. This team beat young talent, veterans trying to make the NBA, hell even actual NBA rotation players that really didn't belong there. They took every challenge laid out in front of them and conquered it in impressive fashion. I won't get too into the LonzoEffect, but I will say this team was incredibly fun to watch and the game came easy to them. A great summer thus far for the franchise.

Really proud of the guys and not being content with just making it there. Half our starting lineup was shut down, yet these guys pulled off the win. It really shows that Kuz isn't really the product of Zo and definitely has his own skills and talents to fall back on. But the confidence he had in his shot was something that probably developed through Zo feeding him constantly with good looks. Either way, that KuZo connection is real and I'm hoping we get to see plenty of it during the regular season.

Also I was really impressed with Caruso's numbers and lets be honest, with a 14pt, 9ast, 7reb stat line, dude had Zo type numbers and I'm sure it would be more recognized had Zo earned those numbers. However, what's really important to take away from that, is even though its summer league, Luke obviously wanted Jud to run his offense and as a result we're getting solid production from our point and wing positions. Folks, this is the style we're looking to play with and man is it fun to watch. I just hope the regular season roster places alot more emphasis on defense, cause creating transition opportunities will only help us in the wins column.

Lastly, I noticed some of you guys were talking about 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc options in our offense. I really don't see it that way, cause our offense isn't predicated off one player dominating the ball. Its a motion offense, so the best option will always be the open man with a good percentage opportunity. Luke obviously brought the system from Golden State and over the course of the year, there was hardly any talk about Durant being the primary option over Steph or vice versa. I'm sure in close games we'll try to rely on one player being our Kobe closer type. But ideally, we won't play that way...so I'm thinking options be damned. Just trust the system and and try to take advantage of those opportunities to the best of your ability.

Either way....I'm proud of our #CultureChange and I'm looking forward to what our system will be able to do for these young pups, before we add some old dogs to it next summer.

^I see Ingram taking on the role of closer for the squad when matters are in the balance. Talking mess in practice, taking the last shot in the first game and keeping the team together before he went out. Ingram is forming the leadership role among them. The second unit? If Kuzma gets time...no doubt he has the stones to take the big shot.

I mean it could be really silly, but if Lonzo is playing with the big boys and better teammates in this his first season, anything close to like he played in Summer League .... the crazy huge US and worldwide Lakers fan base might vote him into the All Star game. He has to be a major contributor to those crazy record setting numbers above. Certainly in no small part to his crazy like a fox Pops.
