Agree. I would like to see Randle play with Lonzo and an improved squad around him in an ideal world, but I realize the clock is ticking on him and our ability to use him in a dump package. I think at his best, we still will have issues with him not being able to shoot from outside or play defense. There is also the issue of minutes. If our team is really the future home of George and Lebron, I don't see where Randle fits in unless we plan on running small A LOT with him at center. On that team Lebron is the pf with Ingram and PG-13 running the wings.

I guess the one reason to hold onto Randle is insurance if we can't sign the free agents we want to. If we are only able to grab PG-13, we'll need Randle. If we can't grab anyone of note, we will DEFINITELY need Randle. There's some fairly significant risk either way.

Exactly!! This was why Magic and Rob acted quickly on the Mozgiv deal. The longer you wait and teams knowing your desperation the less leverage you will have.

This seems really obvious to me. What a great seize the moment strategic strike!

Moz .... out of the blue amazingly GONE.

Moz replaced by All Star center who is expiring.

At deadline or worse next summer no struggle + getting colluded against to get rid of Moz salary >>> having Moz still here at deadline, same problem and no Lopez likely still available.

    Lopez >>> Moz

Ball + Pope (consistent night to night winning efforts) >>> DAR + Young

I'm sure the players are thankful. Not having to answer so many trade rumor questions during all the media sessions if their name has been in the media.

This is why Adam Silver, when he hangs it up, will be one of the greatest commissioners in sports history.

I hope they dont get rid of hack a whatever rule, its part of the game as ugly as it might be. If you can't hit 60% of your FREE throws you deserve to get picked on and forced out of the game

So here we are maybe denying Rondo in favor of another, younger guy. We also signed Caldwell-Pope against many odds.

Is everyone feeling better yet? We had some gloomy guses there for a couple weeks.

Personally, I've heard people raving about Ian Clark so I'm half-way interested in him. I liked Ennis at the end of the year too. I'm not as interested in Canaan.

    Interesting...

Although I wonder if the Lakers are just putting out that to show Rondo take the exception or leave it. I think he is waiting to see if Knicks will pay him big when they trade Melo.

Why do I want Rondo? I don't understand what is going on in my head.

That's a good point. I'm not sure the Lakers need Rondo. I might prefer Clark at this point. I know he's young and we're a young team, but he still won a ring last year and can help show the young guys what that locker room is all about. Ennis was solid too.
