Ball has to play before he's anything. This team is moving toward a championship? Wtf is going on here?

Yep agreed. Lonzo is in a different league from D'Angelo in terms of being an floor general, leader, and playmaker as a point guard.

Dlo's production wasn't the problem. I haven't heard of anyone complaining about that. It was his attitude.

If Ball has a similar attitude, I see him gone eventually as well.

Hill stings a bit, but I'm okay. Noel is okay, but I'm not eager to spend a ton of money on another big and I don't think he's good enough that I must have him compared to my other guys.

I think Russell was a good passer, but not necessarily a good extra passer if that makes sense. His style of play (and this is true for Clarkson and Randle as well) lead to guys wanting assists instead of wanting to get the best look every play. I do agree that Russell had limited shooters to pass to, but I think the Lakers know that and are doing what they can to limit Ball having a similar issue. They drafted only guys who showed they can shoot. They're after guys who can shoot in FA. I don't think it's a lesson that was lost on the Lakers at all.

Doubt it happens. I actually would prefer to sign KCP long term because he is young, extremely talented shooter and defender, and just good. He would grow perfectly with our core. Doubt we do it though as we are saving for our pipe dream of LeBum.

For what it's worth Woj brings up Klutch sports as well and mentions that we'll be pursuing LeBron next summer... It could be that Caldwell-Pope is the first guy LeBron recruits to LA in order to help "his guys"...

Or he could just wait for Washington to match on Porter and then take a massive deal with the Nets. ;)

I go to Uncle Juice for all my Kentavious related questions. Good sign here.

edit- really though Caldwell-Pope has only 6 likes from that account and that's one of them. The other likes are: a photo of Steven Adams with Adams's sister who had successful surgery, two tweets in a language I can't understand that relate to food, Pope's game winner against Toronto, and a charity event Pope was a part of.

Seems like a bit of a long shot since he could get a multi-year deal pretty easily.

Apparently Brooklyn wants to pair he and D'Angelo.

That was his reported desire, but we've seen before where guys wanted a bunch of money and never got it. If for some reason Brooklyn isn't willing to offer a long-term deal (which I wouldn't understand), a one-year deal isn't out of the question.

Maybe it wasn't the best fit here, but I wouldn't of minded giving him that deal.
