i just can't believe we stated the two goals were shooting and defense and we've been primarily talking to folks who do little of either.

We don't have an any league-average shooters. None. We have a young roster that will struggle defensively, too. Those that want to see breakout years from Lonzo and Ingram - they're not going to have the ingredients around them to be their best. Whatever...

Magic said the now 4 years running Dodgers TV blackout wasn't hurting their brand too. Lack of All Star voting with all the studs on this year's squad says hello.

I know, right? We need shooters to spread the floor for Lonzo...let's get a pg who can't even shoot free throws! But to be fair we did go after George Hill first.

My guess is they want Rondo to win us some games. Rondo is capable of having vintage Rondo games (as shown in the playoffs) that can almost single handedly get us W's. It's probably a culture thing. Let's ride Lopez and Rondo to some wins so we can get our kids out of a losing funk. I know it sounds cliche and shouldn't matter, but there is something to the whole "learning to win" thing regardless of the amount of talent you have.

Rondo has been the one reaching out to the Lakers. The Lakers have been researching him heavily to make sure he won't be a problem. I think you guys are mischaracterizing the FO by saying we're going after him. Even if we sign him, he came to us while we were out searching for Waiters, Iguodala, George, and Nick Young all of whom are good (or at least decent in Iggy's case) shooters.

Crawford also expressed interest in LA, the reverse has been stated, but not until after it was reported he'd want to come here.

If you're all expecting a guy who can shoot and defend on a one year deal, you're crazy. I'd be happy with just one of those things. Give me a guy who can do either. I understand Rondo isn't one of those players, but if he's truly interested in coming here, I'm not going to turn him away either.

And that's not to mention we drafted 4 guys who are all decent shooters. Kuzma looks like the worst, but he's got solid form so I think he can come around. Ball projects as an average shooter, Hart and Kuzma probably a little below average. We also traded for Lopez who is a fantastic shooter for his position.

Magic/Rob should try to figure out something with Atl, I would offer Deng/Future 1st/1 of chi 2nd for Crawford, this way they Atl doesn't have to do a buy out. They get more assets for the rebuild.

I just want Lopez, Ball and three Kevin Durants filling out the other positions. I don't think I'm being to greedy.

I'd even throw in Clarkson to get rid of Deng.

it doesn't even matter if PG likes him or not we'd only be signing him for 1 year and then PG can voice his opinion whether he wants him on the team or not next year

I wouldn't, our guard rotation would consist of an old arse Crawford and a rookie. We severely lacking in talent at that position, you can always trade JC next off season if he improves we could get more in return instead of being used as a salary dump and by then his contract is only 2 more yrs makes it also easier to move

Not giving Ball good shooters around him will make him improve his game.

Since we aren't winning anything, I'm ok with letting him grow into his britches.

I don't care about guard depth if I can get rid of Deng. A guy like Clarkson is pretty easy to replace.

If ATL is willing to take on Deng, I'd give them anything not named Ball, Zubac, or Ingram.

it's disappointing to see us doing nothing in FA but then again, it's not a surprise given that basically all we can offer are 1 year deals
