Paul would be leaving that to come to a lottery team...

I'm glad Magic and Rob are sticking to the stated plan of 2018. I'm surprised people are getting excited or upset when people turn down 1 year offers. Wouldn't you if millions were on the line, and you knew your career had a short lifespan and could end any moment by injury?

Just asking people if they are interested in a 1 year deal to see if they bite is smart. Being upset if we are used for leverage or turned down for better offers? This affects me not at all. This is a development year, and if we do make any additional moves this year for our roster, I'm certain I'll be posting this:

16 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds on 42% from the field, 40% from the three point line.

I really didn't know Waiters had a stat line like this. Gonna watch some highlights of him from this season to get a better sense of his game. Feel like if we're going to gamble on a guard, I'd want it to be on the guy who can at least shoot.

I was thinking about that too when I saw him on the FA list lol. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to it. Give Pau a big one year deal and have this be his retirement tour. He could come off the bench to start the year as a back-up stretch 5 to Lopez. Maybe start off playing 20-25 minutes a game and slowly wind that down throughout the season and eventually let Zubac take over primary backup duties. Might argue it'd slow Zubac's development to have such a logjam at C, but who knows? Maybe Pau could be a great mentor and help take Zu to the next level.

At this point Waiters seems like a superstar compared to the alternatives. I also love Pau, but I think we have enough bigs. I'd love to see Pau here for a year mentoring guys, but I think that's what Lopez is gonna do.

He was a big reason for Miami's surge to fight for the 8th seed, they were something like 27-19 with him

I think Miami resigns him after missing out on Hayward

I don't really get it position-wise, I guess he plays SF though. Numbers were good last year, 18/5/2 on 45% shooting overall, 39% from 3. For those numbers that contract is actually reasonable. Look at what Redick and Porter are getting.
