    Rondo's defense hasn't been the same since he was in Boston.

    Can't shoot.

    Locker room cancer.

    Can't think of a good reason to legimately consider him.

    Sure hope we don't sign him. So meany reasons why he doesn't fit and quite frankly I don't want to have to stay away from this forum because this signing would cause many people to erupt in anger.

    This would be the first move I question about this front office if they sign Rondo.

    Not saying the guy is a scrub. He clearly showed in the postseason he can still play, but he's just not a fit on or off the court.

    I'd much, much rather the Lakers sign Vince Carter.

    He actually addresses one of our glaring needs which of course is shooting and he's also a glue guy for the locker room.

    What the actual EFF are we doing? Why is Rondo even being considered?!

    So let's trade away one of our best assets and best shooters to clear cap space, and then go and sign Rondo so he can..

    a. take away minutes and development from Zo
    b. mess up our chemistry and be a locker room cancer
    c. be terrible defensively and basically the guard version of Luol Deng
    d. shoot terribly thus creating NO space for Ingram and Zo to operate

    I already didn't like the Russell trade, and I will hate it even more if we end up wasting a roster spot (and $) for god damn RONDO.

    Who else does Bill Duffy represent that's significant to us? That's who Rondo's agent is...and I am wondering if Pelinka is doing Duffy a favor here...

    This is my take as well. This would be the first time I undoubtedly believe the FO failed. I was shaky on the Lopez trade, but it grew on me. The Kuzma pick is shaky, but I'll be patient... Rondo? I'm just not sure what the appeal is. I think he was actually half-way decent in last year's playoffs and I get that he has some championship experience, but so freaking what? The guy still can't shoot, he's not a defender anymore, and he's never been good with the locker room. I get that Wade was nice to him at the end there, but it wasn't smooth. Seems like we'd be opening a can of worms.

    Could be asking for a favor. Alec Brown is also on our Summer League team and he's represented by Duffy.

    I'm not sure it's a favor though. I think it could very well be interest with the Lakers thinking he brings competitiveness and championship experience. They'd use him similar to what we expected Mozgov to do: show the kids what it takes to be a champ. Not that I agree with the take necessarily, but I could see them arguing that.

    I'm already pissed that he's being MENTIONED with us. I hope hope hope he goes to the Clippers instead. Could just be the o'le "Lakers want X player!" to drive up value so another team overpay for him.

    Started his career a C bag spent most of his career there, tore us apart in the 2008 Finals, and he's always been your guy? So you're not a Lakers fan?
