There's no doubt about Okafor, he's solid in the paint. His average athleticism and attention to defense is a little off putting, but nothing a little coaching can instill, he is, after all, still a 7 footer.

My grasp on Johnson is a little higher than what this writer had to say. Why a 6'7 240lb SF is analyzed on his ball handling is a little strange, he still can do so, and in control from what I've observed. What he also forgot to mention is this kid's strength. He really moves people around with ease, and get's what he wants in the paint. Paired with Randle, they would be two SOLID frontcourt guys in terms of strength.

As expected, Russell's analysis is great. He's talented combo-guard with an offensive mindset. Not so much a leader in terms of a point guard, but he has those skills with his vision. Average athlete, but it works for him.

Towns is a little surprising, though, not really. Just where they place him on the board. It's always a gamble to take a big high, but it's also sometimes the biggest reward. He points out that he's a little awkward, "still growing", awkward stance. That sounds very Andrew Bynum to me. Big kid with a lot of growing to do in terms of game.

They said Kawhi Leonard needed to really work on two things coming out of SDSU: ball handing and improved outside shot.

I know its a little unfair to look at the success Leonard has had early on and think Stanley is going to be the same player. Probably not. but they both have/had many of the same problems in college. Leonard may have the bigger hands and longer arms but Stanley makes up for that with his sheer strength.

    New plan:

    1. Draft Stan Johnson and Dakari Johnson
    2. Sign new sponsor Johnson & Johnson
    3. ???
    4. Profit.

Check out the scouting report comparisons: Very similar. What I really like about Johnson is between the ears. Dude seems to get it. Imagine Kobe as his tutor! Kobe's never had the pleasure of having a disciple with Johnson's mentality, instincts, and work ethic.

BTW, I wonder if Russell could be Rondo with a jumpshot, but only an average defender and not a great one?

hmmm...I wonder why college hoops guys aren't as enamored with towns as I am. he looks like a beast in the making to me. sort of a smoother derrick favors. he can put on a big of muscle and still be able to use his quickness against nba bigs. plays hard, too.

Good news for us tonight. The three teams below us all got wins. I knew NY was starting to come on, and Minny just got Martin back and an expected lift because of it. Philly is still pretty hopeless but they are in the East after all and might win a handful more just because of that.

Roster wise, we are the weakest in the league.
lets see how it plays out.

If things go our way we could have 4 picks in this upcoming draft...

Believe me I saw and read all of this. In my post I made near the top of this page or last page where @therealdeal posted all the Stanley Johnson videos I saw a man and heard a man speak of confidence, competitiveness, and work ethic. He's a self made man who is capable of playing Ron Artest level defense.

Good videos Punk 101, thank you

Watching this Ohio State-Maryland game - Russell's gonna be a star in the NBA no doubt. Curry/Ginobli hybrid

Dominated that first half, scoring and passing

Russell is a stud. I think we have to land in the Top 3 to get him.

If we end up with the 4th pick I think we will take either Johnson or Mudiay.

Yeah. Given all the scouting reports I have read the last few days, I would prefer Johnson as well.

I'll zero in on Johnson more...outside of Okafor, though, I'm taking Russell.

Of course, I am holding out hope we some how end up with one of the top two picks. I mean, the basketball gods do us something at this point right? Lol.

At that point we would be guaranteed Russell or Okafor. If Philly gets number one, we might even have a shot at Okafor with the second pick given the big men they have taken over the past two seasons.

Absolutely. My top two have not changed. It's Okafor then Russell.
