that is why I'm annoyed with these "plans," its to ridged, just adapt to whats available. IF Hayward is the catalyst to Bos upping their offer for PG (supposedly pg wants to play with him) why do we need to sit on this 18' 2 max fa plan? Hayward could be one of the 2 NOW! If you have plans to free up cap for 2 max fa next yr, whats wrong with getting 1 this yr? Yeah Hayward aint no Lebron but he's same age as PG and it would stand to make us that much more attractive to PG when time comes, even if Hayward says no, it would still be good to try to gauge where we are as far as FA standings.

Talk about throwing a wrench into the works.

And if the Clippers let him walk?? Wow. They're going absolutely full on tank-mode. Jerry shows up and shows everyone the door?

Blessing in disguise. Paul and Griffin got the Clippers are far as the 2nd round and usually one of them ended the playoffs out injured. I wouldn't want to keep either one of them if I were any other franchise. But as you and I were talking the other day, and I do agree with you on this level, it's the Clippers and losing a star for them is dangerous because while their brand is better than it was, it's not great.

Reddick had a baby not too long ago...if there's not great offers out there for him and his wife doesn't wanna move right now, would you do a 1 year 17 mill deal? Id do it. If we ditch Black and Brewer we could have 23-24 mill and sign Reddick and a backup PG.

Suns have a meeting with BG and Millsap this weekend. Hope suns go all in on Blake and I'd like to see him there. Bledsoe-Booker-Jackson-Griffin-Chandler.

For one year, yeah I would. I'd rather start the season with Redick at SG than Clarkson.

Would be good help for Lonzo.. but to be honest at the same time I'm intrigued with Clarkson getting a starting role again, he had some crazy flashes as a rookie. Right now is his chance to shine, we know he can run and gun(Lonzo factor, outlets etc) and he's a good slasher which I think we could use too. I think it all depends on Ingram and Ball being to able to shoot outside cause I feel good about Lopez shooting well.

In the end, yeah how about that JJ..who can stay put with ZERO change :)
    Would you pay 19?

This is usually true. Teams generally are able to make cap room pretty easily when they want.

If I just had a baby, I'd take the longest, biggest contract I could so that I have security. I'd offer Reddick a one-year deal worth a lot of money, but I very much doubt he signs it. I could see him ending up in Philadelphia actually.

OKC would be an excellent fit for JJ. They need shooters badly. Just don't know if they have the money to convince him.

No they definitely don't have room after paying Oladipo, Kanter, and Adams all that money... Those three together are making 60-ish million. After Russell's 28 million they're almost capped out in those 4 players. They still have to pay McDermott this summer too.

Not only security, but if you're going to move, do it when the kid is young and won't remember the 3-4 years in a place like Philadelphia.

Real interested to see how the Lakers approach FA considering we want to upgrade the roster but save future cap space.

It's isn't that interesting to me; we're signing 1 year reclamation project and we'll have one of the worst rosters in the league.

Our goal should focusing on Ball and Ingram's development this year...

I still say best way to go is Wade trade, Jc/Deng/1 or 2 future unprotected 1st for Wade. Not only do we get our starting SG (limited minutes), you also getting "star" attraction in name that is and of course not to mention he's expiring. This route we could still get 2 max guys and NOT have to dump or trade away Randal, who I'm sure would be willing to do a reasonable ext. if we field a competitive team with 2 big time stars if we are able to sign them, something along the lines of 13-15mill a yr.

Yeah I still really like this idea but who knows what the Bulls are doing.
