He may not have a choice. Griffin can walk without helping the Clippers at all.

One thing is abundantly clear: LeBron is not going to the Clippers.

Beverly and that helps Griff case as the ball will always go to him and he'll be the #1 opt going forward. They had mild success prior to Cp3 trade so I dont see why this new clipp team couldn't be at least as succeful as the team they had before cp3 trade early on. They almost made the playoffs with no PG and an oft-injured Gordon.

Miami or Boston make a bunch of sense for Griffin. I'd say Miami makes the most sense for him and Boston makes the most sense for Hayward.

Good news for Jordan now is that Dallas's vision of him being Wilt Chamberlain 2.0 is in full effect with the Clippers.

I'll take Austin and Crawford for Deng. Do those Clips a favor.

    Couple of shooters for Lonzo

So we're going to be competing with the Clippers and Jerry West in free agency. They just freed up the same money we will likely have available next offseason with Paul and Griffin going. Terrific.

With Chris Paul leaving I don't see what possible appeal they could have to free agents other than Jerry.

so apparently pierce extended his contract deadline so that he can be traded before he retires

hmmmmm, LAC includes pierce in the griffin trade to BOS so that he can retire with the C Bags?

I will gladly fight with the Clippers over FAs. :D Jerry West or no Jerry West.

And why are we concerned? Yes FAs are clamoring to play with Austin and Deandre!

Our brand is about as good as theirs these days, I don't care what LeBron says on the subject, and Jerry West is the closer. It would have been nice to have him on our side as a consultant is all, then this is avoided completely.

I mean Chris Paul just walked away from him days after Jerry signed a deal.

Right now we've got rumors of Paul George and LeBron James eyeing LA while players are exiting the Clippers. We've outperformed them statistically in almost every category on the business end without any stars and while they were winning 50 games a year. We're fourth in merchandise sales being lead by D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle. Our brand is still much stronger than theirs. Our brand is still technically the strongest in the NBA worldwide.

I would have liked Jerry too, but I think we're about to see Jerry waste two years of his life working for Ballmer.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry was behind this trade or gave his blessings. To their credit, at least the tenants got something for a player that wanted to leave.

    Jealousy is a b****.

The other Front Offices around the league see our momentum and refuse to help us in any way.

clips are doomed. i'm sure west has ideas about how to recover, but paul was the symbol of their ascendance. i don't see how they recover. i'll be impressed if they do.

This trade helped us in PG pursuit. Pritchard's demands just got torpedoed. CP3 on a 1 yr deal got u that!

JC + Tarik take it and suck it and say thank you!

I don't think so. Seems that they would rather take garbage from any team than take a deal with us.

I'm pretty sure Jerry wanted Paul gone, Griffin too. He's probably the only one to come in there and have the guts to say "this isn't working, time to move on". So instead of giving Paul his insane salary, he gives it to him and then ships him off for expirings. All I know is if my team is starting over and is going to have room for 2 max free agents I want Jerry West in my corner.

At the end of the day you have a job. If you take garbage to spite the Lakers then your just setting yourself up to fail. If Pritchard wants garbage then that's on him at the end of the day.
