Yeah it would be great if West got him to come to Clippers to hook up in his older age with advanced age CP3 and over the hill Carmelo especially. You know LeBron wants to have fun with his boys. Carmelo and what he would cost would just about make that whole team more of a curiosity than a real contender. The thing is West is there to not do stupid things like that.

Bigger role, higher pay, and more responsibilities possibly.

I never said I thought he was going to Cavs, just forwarding information along. I agree with you, if Ryan leaves its to the Clips with his dad. He gets to stay in LA, work with pops, and probably take on more responsibilities

Ugh, f*** LeBron. Hope he does choose the Clippers. I don't want us getting rid of all our kids so LeBron can bring his all his old a** friends here to play with him, us still not win a title, then LeBron's game falls off a cliff, he and the banana boat bunch retire and we're right back to square one. LeBron may be a franchise savior, but he's also a franchise killer, because when he leaves, that team is a smoldering crater.

Dan Gilbert got what he wanted, the elusive championship trophy that Ohio always wanted. It wouldn't surprise me if he weren't interested in successive championships unless he could do it with the least effort. This is still the same owner that couldn't do ish to get LeBron the right pieces the first 7 years of LeBron's career.

LeBron is interested in his legacy and therefore should come to an organization that is very much into successive championships and legacy like the Lakers. I'd welcome him and PG in a heartbeat.

Don't want middle-aged Lebron, Yes he's still showing prime ability now@ 32 1/2 (Kobe won the 2010 ring 2 months short of his 32nd) but those skills will diminish soon and when they do go they're gonna leave faster than Delonte West @ Mama James' house when LBJ's car pulls up.

Gilbert is lucky because Dray was suspended. If the refs send the message to Dray early, chances are CLE would have 0 rings.

He comes to LSA and does what he wants, or he has to obey the coach and does minimal GMing?

If Gilbert was smart, he would have sold the team last summer. That team is going to drop in "value" by half next offseason when Lebron bolts.

But I agree with Weezy's post. Even if I LOVED Lebron James (which I most certainly don't and even in that context it hurt to type that), I still am not sure I'd want him next summer. It would require us gutting the team to bring in his guys and we'd be screwed the second he left. Who could we realistically get to pair with Lebron that would win a title in 2018-2019? PG-13 and Lebron with 1 or 2 of the kids and Chris Paul? Melo? Wade? I mean, we've gone through this valley for 5 years only to get two years of WCFs appearances where LBJ, PG and ____ lose to the Warriors? I want PG-13 (even though I think his impact on our team when we can actually win a ring will be minimal) because he wanted to be a Laker. He wanted to wear the purple and gold to be a part of his favorite team. Lebron would be using us to further his legacy. The Lakers don't get used by individuals. The Lakers create individuals.

LeBron will not sign with us. I dunno what crack pipe some people are smoking, its just not gonna happen.

And if it does...he will be 33 and counting...it will be a short "fire" before it dies out and we are right back to garbage.
