Hell yeah I liked all of that and it totally sounds like the things he is saying are officially approved inside tidbits. Jeanie? Someone. He doesn't go out there with specifics on guys' personalities and how they reacted to things said not previously reported, unless he has been told by an insider. He can't just make s*** like that up.

I've been questioning Fultz quite a bit lately and definitely think Bostons willingness to trade is telling.

For all the criticism of Ball (and even Russell),I think it's being overlooked that both managed to get teams that weren't that talented overall into the tournament. I can see Fultz putting up points but I would not be surprised if Ball ends up being the better overall player

Or a simple misunderstanding. Ireland just said Boston is the one that initiated talks. What if Woj spoke to Ainge and Ainge told him, "oh yeah I heard from everyone trying to trade up to here. LA, Philly, Phoenix, but we wanted Philly's offer" when the reality is Boston was making those calls around?

Not to mention, Boston was probably feeding that stuff out there anyway in order to get Philly to bite on the deal they wanted.

    Exactly. Doesn't matter if it's a Lakers smokescreen, a C bag's smokescreen, or a Sixers smokescreen. It's still smoke.

I hope you grow to like him. He's got some unique things he brings to a team even if he has flaws. I honestly think, if the two can get on the same page mentally, he and Russell make a dangerous backcourt.

It's important to note for sure that they're doing this from a Laker perspective, but I think the two stories line up so well and the two didn't plan on releasing both stories together. I also think with Boston trading out of that spot, maybe the concerns about Fultz's mentality are more legit than even some of us were ready to admit.

I'm really liking how this new FO has handled this entire draft process. Didn't get taken in by the C Bags threats of taking Ball #1 apparently, still not giving any clear signs of who they are selecting 2nd, continuing to put it out there that they aren't shopping the 2nd pick, we look very solid in the management positions right now. I'm liking how Magic and Rob haven't appeared to blink during all the stuff that went down between the C Bags and Philly, put a lot of smoke out there, how we have worked out 99 players, and we aren't appearing desperate to make a move for George. We are looking more than competent in that department at the moment, I think Rob really does know how to play this game as a former agent, and Magic is certainly appearing to be a large, important presence giving us much more good pub than Jim ever did.

This. I've been lukewarm on Russ since he arrived here, but with his 2-guard tendencies, I believe his game will blossom with Ball on the floor. Russ has always had a sweet stroke, but his low release point limits some scoring opps. This all points to the fact that we must take into consideration how Lonzo's game increases the efficiency of his teammates. Cannot be minimized or overlooked.

There is not another player in the lottery that will facilitate attracting FAs to play here as much as Ball. He is unselfish and makes his teammates shine. A huge factor.

Imagine if Ball becomes Jason Kidd 2.0. C Bags would be kicking themselves for a generation because of it. Especially if we are lucky enough to face them in the finals in 2 or 3 years from now and he ends up winning Finals MVP or something.

Hope you're right. Really, I do.

I'd feel a lot more comfortable adding Ball if we added George, though. Much, much more....

Adding George would make me not give a **** about this draft. :D Well maybe not that extent, but George hides a lot of blemishes for us.
