I'm actually drained from this draft discussion thread, I'm very pro Ball at this point, however at the end of the day we have a very intelligent front office, I'll trust their decision. Whoever officially is drafted to rep the purple n gold is who I'll be rooting for to succeed. Good night folks! Good days are ahead

I like Josh Jackson... he looks like the perfect Sg for us... I like ball, but Jackson would be my choice

i generally agree, but i want to highlight the "risk" here. it's why i wouldn't blame the FO for going in another direction. i'm generally not worried, as we've drafted well over time, and we seem to be doing our homework (though i agree with unpossible's suggestion that a lot of this is future recruiting more than moves to inform the current draft process).

but again, i have enough question marks on everyone but fultz to make me want to trade down or out should the opportunity present itself.

Lakers need a player that will make others around him better and one who's unselfishness can down the road attract players. Kinda points to one guy....

    Gelo Ball hahaha

...you Googled it. How does this establish either that Pippen had a 7'2 wingspan or that Jackson has 6'10? Draft Express doesn't measure people. They report measurements from others. A) those measurements vary wildly on players, even measurements taken in the same year and B) Jackson's last measurement was the Hoop Summit, 14 months ago. His height has varied by 2" with and without shoes, his reach has varied by almost 7", and his wingspan has by 2". And again 14 months ago.

    I saw the image.

Why would that prove it? If we are being super skeptical about wingspan, let's be extra super skeptical. Sounds like propaganda.

I like Josh but he makes no sense for us. He is not enough of a shooter to be a SG.

Also with Ingram on the roster, we don't need another top-flight SF. And last but not least we are working on a PG trade, who also happens to primarily play SF.

Ingram, George and Josh Jackson is too much, especially since Jackson cannot shoot, which is just huge in todays NBA.

I always say draft on talent, not on need. But in this case, Josh Jackson isn't even necessarily more talented. If the talent is equal (give and take), you absolutely draft by need. A talented team without balance is worse than a not so talented team with good overall balance.

I would understand Fox but would not understand drafting Jackson unless the Lakers have planned something else down the line.

My preferences, for anyone who cares:
    Trade down, adding picks
Use pick to add another top 10 talent
Use picks to facilitate deals for quality players
    Use picks to dump contracts

Hope this is true. Really high on both of those guys, and I'm hopeful Fox has been bumped out of the discussion at #2.

That's actually pretty amazing and further proves that almost all what lavar says is a show.
