Watch part 2 and realize I cried myself to sleep in 84 and might tonight after watching it.

Great TV. The best 30 for 30 and I haven't even seen part 3 yet.

    Watching part 1 right now.

Exceptional!! This is a fantastic documentary, and it's reminding me why I hate the C Bags so much at the same time

Man, watching those first two parts has me lying in bed SO fired up right now.

The '84 Finals started May 27th, 1984. I was born the next day. And yet somehow, I'll never get over that series.

Watching so many old highlights, interviews, retrospectives, etc. over the years, it feels like I saw it as it happened. That one hurts about as much as 2008 does when I look back on it, and obviously I watched that one live.

F ML Carr. F Cornbread Maxwell. F the C Bags.

Maxwell once said if he saw a Laker was on fire and he had a cup of water...he'd drink the water. If Maxwell was on fire, I wouldn't piss on him. F**k him and all of them.

The craziest thing to me is McHale clotheslining Rambis and all he got was an ordinary foul. No tech. Not thrown out. Not suspended. Not fined. A foul.

Kareem swinging elbows and they just keep on playing.

And through it all, not a single flop.

LLLLLeBron's weak mental makeup wouldn't have survived that era.

I'd like to agree, but they would have toughened him up when he was younger. He wouldn't pull that crap in this game, just like McHale would have to change his tactics in today's game. I think all great players would adjust to the era and succeed.

But I WANT to agree with any opportunity to crap on LLLLLebron.

Dear Lord I've never hated the C Bags more than after that series. I can't wait to watch it again.

I also can't wait until we get #17 and #18 while they squander in mediocrity. It's coming I can feel it. Maybe not now, but soon.

So uhhh..... did I just imagine the 08 and 10 finals or did they happen? A 30 for 30 on the history of our rivalry and they left out 2 finals ? They covered the 60s in depth. But not the 2 most recent.

    HUGE LETDOWN.

    WOW.

    F Boston and F ESPN.

(Still a great documentary, but they dropped it at the end)

23 minutes into part 1, poor Jerry. I can't imagine how tortured he was.

Oh wow, that's a huge disappointment. Part 1 is excellent thus far, I was really looking forward to the them talking about the 2000s.

Tortured soul. For all his success and greatness, he considers his career a failure. The NBA logo. 50 greatest. Hall of fame. Greatest GM ever. A failure? I truly feel for him.

I think it's centered on the 80s but you're right. They should have done more with 08-10.
