I read he tweaked a hammy in the 2nd half and was just mentioned not too far above that he'd turned an ankle the game before? Would be hard to be 100% in 2nd half if all that's true. ??

Also,Lonzo has an automatic advantage being 6'6 and having that length.

It's the new wave ..... "tall ball". Philly with 7' Ben running at PG.

Allegedly on that jump from 6' 10" ....

No one answered before, can Lonzo be our Ben Sinmons lite with the Magic like passes?

Lonzo with the real Magic however for a tutor. Maybe he takes more advantage of the opportunity than Bynum did with having Kareem for his personal tutor. Bet Magic is channeling trodgers and salivating to get his hands on that young man.

I think Simmons is a much more highly regarded prospect than Ball, and they may both have very good or better PG skills, but one of them has inches and dozens of pounds on the other. One's a physical freak.

Who are these Lakers Outsiders, and can I sue them for stealing my title? I used to write articles at CL under "Outside Looking In." Damn.

I'd say Simmons is a better prospect. He's bigger, stronger, and more athletic. Both are tremendous passers, but Simmons has vision that I've only ever seen from a handful of players and I mean passes he sneaks through 3-4 defenders type of thing. Lonzo makes the easier pass and isn't nearly as ball dominant. Both are very good prospects, but I would say SImmons would remain the high pick. I would say if you were putting 15, 16, and 17 all in one group the draft would be Towns, Simmons, and Fultz probably in that order going in the top 3. Then it becomes muddy with Ingram, Russell, Porzingis, Ball, Jackson, Turner, Booker, Tatum, etc.

I'm not saying that's their talent level or who will be best among them, but that those three would still go at the top of the draft given what we saw of them in college.

    Passing and rebounding: Simmons.

Shooting anything outside of 3 feet: Ball by a million.

If trying to smooth the waters would it have hurt, son of LaVar, to have said, "My game, or the way I play the game ..... will complement D'Angelo's game very well"? Instead of the other way around, rook? I thought you were supposed to be smart?

Yes, certainly Simmons overall, and probably just with his vision and passing from what we've seen. If we take Ball hopefully under Lakers and Magic's tutelage he can become Simmons lite or better than just lite with the vision and passing specifically.

They're just different prospects too. Simmons and Ball are both known for passing, but they do it in different ways.

Simmons is going to be interesting to watch next year; I'm fascinated by his skill-set by a man of his size. Agreed on this take, too. Well said.
