Haha good luck with that request, he looks nearly the same as he did his rookie yr and why would he need to, already got paid multiple times (mozgov)....i already had reservation bout deng motives when he signed here...he looked like a turd bucket too when he got traded to clev during their dark age (post lebron) and he was disruptive to the pt clev just wanted him gone barely a few weeks after the trade

Hindsight is 20/20. We can't blaim Moz for the emergence of Zubac. I still feel he's a valuable piece to our team.

I watched Luke Walton looking at 12:01 on Backstage Lakers and being amazed that he was covering air. Everytime I watched Mosgov, he destroyed all flow on defense and offense for the Lakers. He makes Kwame Brown tolerable and I'm only saying that because I haven't seen that clown play for 10 years. When Mosgov gets on the court, I get the same feeling I get in my stomach when I first read 4 years 64 million for a guy who scored 1 point a game for an entire playoff run.

You do not remember Kwame Brown correctly if you're comparing him to Moz. Moz is average in every way. But he can score when in position. Hits his little 10 footer consistently. Kwame would f*** up plays regularly, whether through dropping the ball out of bounds, or just missing shots. The only thing he had on Moz was shot blocking, and he wasn't even that good at that.

Kwame Brown was a pretty decent positional defender as well. But offensively...he was worse than having no one there at all. If he's not on the court, you can't accidentally pass it to him if you see purple. He seems so long ago, but the dude is actually young enough that he could still be in the league.

Both make and made me think about hanging myself with barbwire when they play and played. I was there for that home game against Phoenix when Kwame bumbled and stumbled for like 15 straight plays. Youtube still has that clip up. It was like watching little league baseball where you watch 40 walks and one hit.

Yeah, you're right. I did forget he could play some positional defense. But good lord was he bad at most things an NBA player should be able to do.

Old news around time of the exit interviews. Just said he wasn't happy sitting on the bench.

Weak minded too... I know the story of how Brown told Bryant NOT to pass him the ball because he feared he might drop it. Jackson quipping he fears for Brown's infant because of the same thing.

"The No. 2 pick will only exacerbate how poorly the slow-moving Mozgov fits with a team best fit to run up and down the court."

I still don't agree with this commonly held perception that he can't run the floor, especially for a big man. There were numerous times he was right there on the break for a dunk himself or cleaning up a missed shot at the rim after a break. Zu is certainly not going to be any faster. Doesn't mean he's a slug running the floor. Obviously quickness and speed around the key on D or offense are other aspects to the game. But they're freaking big men. Marc Gasol (thinking about Zu hopefully as he progresses) .... now or certainly in his best prime would be taken by any team in the league. F****** small ball talk everywhere as if it is the only way to play the center position now makes me crazy sometimes.

Also interesting but makes total sense is that Magic called it because he needed to start evaluating the young players since playoffs were by then out of the question. And that the move surprised Walton at the time as well. So much for Walton realizing his mistake and choosing to bench Moz for "poor play".

Eh. I'm not worried about it. Mozgov has always been blunt. What would you prefer him to say? I don't mind the candidness.

I think fans give him a harder time than he really deserves. He's a decent player at a market price for his position. I'd trade him if we could, but like I've said before: I expect him to play a lot more next year. He's going to fit better in the starting unit than Zubac even if he has less upside.

Moz contract may suck but I think he's salvageable especially if Ball is drafted.

Moz does not have hands of stone. So I think there's potential for a lot of easy dunks
Off the roll or Ball's penetration

In my opinion, I think small ball exists because of a shortage of skilled centers. If the current NBA had the equivalent of Hakeem, Patrick Ewing, Shaq, David Robinson, Alonzo Mourning, or even Vlade for that matter, things would look a lot different. Marc Gasol is really the only skilled prime center in the NBA right now, and I'd sure every team would love to have a player like that on their squad.

Small ball in my opinion is simply a response to the lack of talent when it comes specifically to centers.
