    It does look odd but I think it is accurate. If you watch some of his games he's either firing long range 3's or attacking the basket. There are really no mid range 15 footers

    I think as many scouting reports have shown before, his shooting form throws off his off the dribble shots because of his trajectory.

    From a standstill or catch and shoot, the trajectory is perfect, but the moment he starts to lean or has any momentum in his body, his shot is off.

    I think he can live without a consistent off the dribble 15 foot shot if he develops his floater even more. With his athleticism, he can get that type of higher percentage shot off.

    In situations where we need a basket, I suspected we'd use him more as an off ball guy, and D'Angelo would be trying to create a shot or finding him or a spot up shot.

    If you're looking for an isolation player on this roster, it is going to be Ingram...eventually.

    He's going to have the size and already has the length and height...just a matter of time.

    Russell, Ingram, Randle, and of course Clarkson have all shown the ability to create a shot for themselves to varying degrees of success. By far the one who will do it best over time is Ingram. Randle has done it on occasion fairly well. D'Angelo has the crafty step backs. Clarkson with his insane kinetic energy.

    But Ingram already has a sort of hesitation jumper that freezes defenders better than any other iso play I've seen from other guys.

    This is one of the things I've been saying a few times in these threads as far as not rushing into trying to get great too soon and especially not trading young pieces that may rush us into contention too early. Let's draft whoever at # 2, grow and improve, and then in 2018 go after some pieces to sign, and then next thing you know in 2020 Moz and Deng contracts fall off and then we can really start making headway.

    Not really. He knew his weakness. Going to the left he liked to use the step back and shoot. If he was driving right it was usually to the basket. Between having a limited pick and roll game coming out because at UCLA they didn't run much of that if at all and his mid-range are going to take some real time to develop.

    At #2 Lonzo is both the best fit and best talent available. It's not even close imo.

    I'm really liking how well Magic communicates. I think he gives a clear vision to the media and fans. Even more he's letting the kids know exactly what he wants and what's expected of them.

    What the shot chart says about Lonzo is his bball IQ. He knows his limitations and he takes good shots. We should be so lucky his jump shot mechanics is ugly and his dad has a big mouth otherwise he's hands down #1!
