I don't doubt you because I don't know 2/3 on the list, but I've seen several Mock Drafts saying Monk going to Philly. I'd be shocked if he went before Fox, but I guess it's all about need.

I think he is gone, shutting down workouts as mentioned before, probably to the Bucks, he fits their M.O.

    i'll just do 10:

    1. Boston- Fultz. best player.
    2. Lakers- Ball. system fit, high upside.
    3. Sixers- Jackson. i don't think he's a great fit, but i think it's hard to let him slip much further, given his two-way talent.
    4. Suns- Fox. suns need basically everything but sg, and they've had recent good luck with a kentucky one and done. paves way for moving bledsoe...probably to a team like...-->
    5. Kings- Isaac. highest upside left. i don't think they go tatum after getting a close look at rudy gay. maybe that's not fair to tatum, though.
    6. Magic- Tatum. could slot in nicely next to gordon and fournier if they want to keep going that route. they need another reliable scorer.
    7. Wolves-Monk. they could use another shooter. i debated markannen here (big blonde finn would be a huge hit in the hinterlands, btw!), as he slots in nicely with the rest of their young core, but monk's upside is higher, i think.
    8. Knicks- Ntilikina. again, they had recent luck with a rangy foreigner with some pro experience. this is the right spot to take a flier.
    9. Mavs- Anunoby. the mavs want fox, isaac, and ntilikina, in that order, i'm betting. they'll either trade down or reach for a high character, high motor, nba body in anunoby. high risk, high reward.
    10. Kings- DSJ. seems like these guys are destined for each other. great talent and athleticism, some character concerns, some concerns about his style of play fitting in the modern nba. we have a hat for you.

I have him going early second. I would have picked him for the Lakers but we've got so many bigs and not so many wings.

I see so many post calling Ball as most likely to be a bust in realgm draft forum. I wonder if thats hatred cause of his dad n or cause we're gona be picking him? They also voted that way too on Russell post draft

Most Laker fans aren't as sensible as the ones you find here.

I wouldn't really call them fans. They have no real basketball knowledge nor do they know how the NBA works.

These "fans" don't like Russell because of his "snitching" incident, so they throw him under the bus. They have the mindset of junior high schoolers, get over it. He's a Laker player, stop bashing your own players. Then they suggest trading for PG by giving up the entire team just because.

I would say most of these people have low IQ's in general.

Draft forums has post from all team....i guess they like hating the lakers still even when they're down n out...so many were clamoring to hate in russell after young gate and then with Ingram slow start, they were having field day calling him a bust and they were right all along

they're fans of other teams. that's what they'll do.

we've been successful for so long, we're finally on the short end of the stick, and they're kicking us while we're down.

whatever. all I know is, we got the best talent that we could in our position, and we just got another asset on the road back to contention, and an all star who is dying to play here (PG).

at least we're not the sixers who've already moved on from Noel, Embiid being out for the season every year, Okafor a lost cause, and Simmons didn't even play.

the only team that can talk trash are Boston unfortunately, as they have 1 more ring. everyone else haven't even touched 10 yet.

    Ball certainly is a weirdo.

I have seen plenty of interviews where he just sits there with his mouth shut while his dad is answering questions directed at Lonzo. Almost like he is told to shut up and let his dad handle the talking. Not exactly someone who is supposed to be a PG, communicate on the floor and be a leader. He absolutely doesn't strike as an alpha male to me.

I don't think he is going to be a bust or anything...he will be fine. But I'm not sure I want him on the Lakers.

I hear what you're saying and I have noticed that too...but I think we should also focus on the interviews he gives without his dad. those are a lot more impressive to me. and personally, if lavar was my dad, I think I might be a little apprehensive to speak up too

He's a calm dude but very confident. I definitely see leadership qualities on the court.

Thats exactly my question...is he confident because he is confident in himself or is he confident because his dad told him to be like that and speak like that. Its impossible for me to judge him because I think there is a script book written by his outrageous father that tells him to act a certain way.

We have no idea what goes through his mind when he says something.

BTW I want to add that I don't watch any full college games and the coverage of college games in general. I just see highlights of certain games and some small interviews. To judge the personality of certain guys thats just not enough.

he also does some rapping...pretty sure that isnt at his dads direction. IMO you def have to be confident if your gonna put yourself out there rapping like he does. the parallel might not quite be there, but I'm hopeful!

I'm sure his dad has a huge influence on him, perhaps more so than an average father, but I do not see anything unnatural. If you are implying that Lavar is brainwashing and manipulating his sons, I disagree.

I honestly think they're a very close family that sticks together no matter what. Lavar takes very good care of his family, and I'm sure the kids appreciate the position that they're in.

i'm not sure what kb is suggesting is "brainwashing"; it's more like extreme media coaching. in fairness, all these guys get it from their agents. all the "i'm the best _____" and "i bring ____ and _____ and blank to the table"--only a few of them probably believe it in their heart of hearts, but we've decided as a society that you're not allowed to speak the truth in these matters (see the backlash derozan got when he admitted they're going to have trouble beating lebron). LOSERS! just because i don't believe i'm going to throw that football over those damn mountains doesn't mean i don't have confidence. it means i live in the real world.

I don't see Lonzo as a weird kid at all.

He defers to his dad in those interviews, but when he's with his teammates he's vocal and socially acclimated.

The video of him rapping and having fun with friends, draft lottery night when he was celebrating, videos of him with his brothers goofing off.... lots of examples of him being a "typical" teen (as typical as a 1st round pick teenager in the limelight can be).
