As I've said a few times, I like Fox a lot.

My fear now is that even if he shows his stuff in workouts and we draft him, he'll never get a fair shot from the fans. Basically, the same treatment Russell has gotten times at least 10 given the love fans already have for Ball.

Same thing if Fultz some how drops to us. The guy will have to come in on fire from minute one or he'll be dealing with bust talk as soon as he has a bad summer league game like Russell.

I would just like to let the Lakers know I fit all of the above criteria and am open to offers from the Lakers.

I mean I'm sure some fans will reject Fox, but I've seen plenty of rationality on this site. There's a lot of fans still waiting for the workouts. Like @TIME said it's important to take that workout with a grain of salt, but it's a chance for team to get up close and personal with a kid and really get a feel for what makes them tick. It's the point in the process where Jahlil lost his chance anid I think the same could happen with Ball. It wouldn't even be his fault necessarily, but there's something about Fox's competitiveness that really catches the eye. Not to say Ball isn't competitive, but he better bring it because you know Fox will.

When I read articles and post outside of here, I get a real sense that there's a very vocal part of the fanbase that wants Ball no matter what. I think Luke, Magic and Rob can manage the PR side of picking someone else much better than Mitch, Byron, and Jim did but there will be a group of people disappointed if Ball isn't the pick.

I agree on Fox 100% though.

As do I as the job posting says nothing about making threes, just shooting them. I'm just picturing myself, a slightly hairy 5'7" white dude sprinting around the court kicking people square in the nuts and hurling the ball at the basket whenever it comes to me like a medieval catapult.

see man I am 6'6'' can knock down the open jumper, and have no problem kicking people in the balls or otherwise. Heck, if need be I cane kick/punch and/or double axehandle folks in all sorts of situations.

I've seen Kingsama up close. Trust me, LeBron wants no part of him.

Me too. I'd like to see his picks on the flopper. I predict a dislocated neck.

I just want to select the best player, I don't care who that is. I have players I don't want because I don't see what others are seeing (Josh Jackson), but I'm not opposed to Fox at all. If the Lakers work out Ball and Fox and think Fox is a superior talent or has greater potential I trust them. At the same time I'd hope they wouldn't select him 2nd, but instead would go out and trade down to 4th or 5th to take him and take something from one of those teams in the process, play it smart.
