Come on man! (Chris Carter voice) We talking about Zu-Bac!! As for Ball. Realistically. 12ppg 9ast 5 reb
Well yeah. It would be by FAR the most painless .... no? Everyone seems to agree we're going to have to give up some talent and personally for me it's unconscionable this early to give up on Dlo, BI, Zu and Randle. I like the hell out of Clarkson but get told he's too one dimensional with him sucking on D. I like Tarik a lot too. But I like those other 4 guys and our number 2 pick a lot more if it means PG coming early with them staying. Guess I would put Nance in at #3 behind JC and Tarik and I love Nancy.
He averaged 7.8 in college. 8 more minutes, 24 second shot clock, faster pace. I'm not sure how that translates, but the competition and schedule will be a LOT tougher. I think anything north of 6 his rookie year and we're set at PG.
Most assist by rookie 1. Mark Jackson avg 10.6 2. Oscar Robertson avg 9.7 3. Tim Hardaway Sr avg 8.7 So I think Lonzo can avg 9
Yeah I'm expecting more like 5-6ish. Keep in mind his usage is low too so it's not like he's got the ball in his hands constantly. At this next level he'll have better players and better help so I expect he won't really be a 10-11 assist per game guy. He also got a lot of assists on shots that I don't expect to be available in the NBA. He got a lot of quick offense assists where Hamilton or Alford just pulled up in semi-transition. We don't have those kinds of shooters.
It really depends on the system. Luke doesn't want one player dominating the ball like Jackson, Big O and Hardaway all did.
Magic averaged 7 his rookie year and that was on a championship team. We don't have a Kareem that Lonzo can just dump it down to in the half court. If he's gonna average 6 or more, we've gotta be running all the time. I think 9 from him, on this team, is completely out of the question.
I think Lonzo will probably be around 5-6, with games where he'll hit 10+ on occasion. Mostly because I don't think he'll be playing more than 30+mpg the way Ingram got the green light. Honestly, I'm salivating at the possibility of Ball and Zu together.
When Moz got benched and Zu started playing, Russell was hurt. He came back, they had a good game together in the pick and roll and I don't think they did it again the rest of the year. I don't think Ball will have that problem.
People will be butthurt when we don't draft Ball I can imagine his face expression. Jah was pissed, How will Ball react... ;-).
How can that happen? Lonzo is Magic. Fox is Moncrief. Magic's not going to deny his own passion and style and the way he sees Lonzo being able to play like he used to. Showtime part deux.
A lot of these comments sound familiar. "Russ will make everyone better" " can you imagine randle and Russ running the break" " Hes gonna average 15pts 8ast" "russ can pass like magic" People darn near killed me when i said I don't think Russ will be a superstar during his rook season. Ball is a 19 year old kid. Its gonna take a bit. Thats if we even draft him.
I think Lonzo really is ESPN sports science guy with his height and passing abilities. He can chest pass outlets. We have a bunch of athletes on this team. Look the hell out.
Yeah and you are the arbiter extraordinaire on who has IT. LOL. Personally I got Russell and BI as well for different reasons. Stop being annoying about Russell.
