I say keep our pick and draft ball. Wait for the pacers to be desperate before the trade deadline. And offer them pennies on the dollar for PG.
I'd trade it for jimmy butler or pg13... this #2 pick ensures we don't have to break up our young core for one of those two
I take Ball (if available) and then move other parts for PG13. Ball DAR Ingram PG13 Zu Clarkson, Randle, Houston 1 and anyone / everyone else is available.
How about Boston though? #1 in east, in the ecf, talented freaking team, and the #1 pick in the draft.... they can flip that pick for a superstar as well... the C Bags are sitting pretty
This is what I do. If you can trade the just the #2 pick and pieces for PG or Butler (and PG in a separate trade) without having to give up Russell or Ingram, imo you have to do it. If you can get 2 guys of that caliber with only sending out like the #2 and pieces, then Randle and JC, the 28th, you do it. Then you've staggered the age of your talent, good youth in Russ, Ingram, Zu, and some older all-stars.
Absolutely. I'm not eager to trade the pick for a rental right now. What do we have that's going to keep George here? If we're trading the #2 pick, I want someone under contract more than 8 months. Besides, we already know the general idea of what Magic wants to do: save our cap space for next season. What I could see happening is the Lakers attaching the #28 with Deng and Tarik Black and sending them all to some horrible team.
I'd personally trade the pick... I like our young core... we just need a vet/ superstar to jumpstart our way up...
