I actually think Weezy and therealdeal would be 1 and 2 every month. Cool idea to show top 6. Something to shoot for, but I do think it would encourage good content. But to Zen's point, I do say thank you. I have been making a fair amount of content. If the content stops, so do the likes. I guess it's a catch 22, because when guys like Weezy and therealdeal contribute their posts, the forum is better for it. I'm also not at all opposed to staff being included. You've chosen some of the best staff possible, so why should their efforts be excluded from results? (Just realized Weezy and therealdeal are probably staff lol) trodgers contributes great stuff, so much good content. I would reconsider penalizing or excluding staff. If I was staff, I might quit just for the likes lol (Just like not having a "dislike button helps eliminate unattractive forum behavior, I think anything you can do to encourage good content should be considered. Please like this post.
I asked for the opinions of the staff, and if it turns out they want their likes to be counted, I will. I never do this stuff unilaterally.
5 of the top 9 "liked posters" overall (Random cutoff point from screen shot) are staff. I'm psuedo staff with the Facebook title if I actually posted worth a darn on there. (Part of why I'd like a button to post more easily on there) I hope they vote not to eliminate themselves from consideration, as I think their content is very valuable to the site.
One thing I would like to see added to go with the Poster of the Month is after that month is over the banner gets removed but it would be cool if it was displayed under there signature or something of how many times they've been Poster of the Month (Ex: 3x Poster of the Month). Actually, the more I think about it the poster themselves could edit their signature and just put that information in there themselves.
DONE!!! There is a new "SHARE" button next to the "like" button under every post. Click that button, and a window will pop up that gives you a slew of options including posting direct to Facebook, Twitter, etc... This only posts the thread, not indiidual posts in the thread. Just click on that Facebook icon, and it will bring up a window showing you what your FB post will look like, and even the option to post to groups. NOTE: I believe it only works with accounts you are currently signed into on your computer, phone, tablet, otherwise it takes you to a page that allows you to choose the website you want to post to and sign in, or install the app for the website you are trying to post to. NOTE NOTE: It pulls the first image from the page for FB posts, but it will give you a preview before it posts. I think this image needs to spread through servers all over the world, so it may take a few minutes for this image to propagate. @sirronstuff Can you test to see if it works with you posting as an addmin, post to the LB FB page?
Ok, on the Facebook Test to the LB Page: I pressed Share on a post near the bottom on page 6 by @therealdeal The preview showed the Tom Hanks picture (Currently deleted by you with a note) That picture is the first picture in the thread IF you exclude signatures. The actual post shows the first frame of the gif AVI for @Lakerman JSJ (shown below) When you click on the post, it takes you directly to the post I shared by @therealdeal
Twitter Test No option to add a picture, and it's just adding a default TAPATALK logo it appears unless that changes later. There is an option to add additional text to the tweet if there are characters available though. If there is a way to change the default logo to an LB logo, or a custom gif rotating player pics, I think it would get more clicks. Yeah it takes the first pic from the first page on the thread. That Tom Hanks pic is distributed to all the servers around the world, and it'll take a while for the pic to disappear. So it should show the image I edited into the first post, if I try to post the same page to FB later.... I think
If you're posting from tapatalk, I think it automatically add their logo instead of LB's logo. I'll look into seeing if the images can be overridden with the same LB logo for all shared posts

I am on a PC at the moment, and actually don't use Tapatalk if that helps at all. I wish that Twitter allowed you to edit tweets, as I could go back in and add a picture of my choice, but it doesn't. Essentially I think it allows one type of media per post. Ex: you can't post a video AND a pic. or a jpeg AND a gif. Since this is an embedded link, there is no way to add to it. The only thing we can do is default to a different image. If you want something custom to show up, just let me know and I can work on if you don't have time.
I'm not actually sure if it matters if it chose to show his AVI first frame instead. Code wise, that pic probably shows up before that picture in the first post, so it may be related to the actual first pic. Maybe if there is no avi picture file, that will happen. Kind of odd really, but the preview pic will only post if there are no avi pics in front of it seems like.
Let's take it to PMs to work on this because this is just going to be technical updates as we work out the bugs
Just a heads up, I'm making some slight changes to a few of the themes, and a big change to Home Gold to make it less intense, and hopefully more appealing to more members since it seems to be the least used option.
