my main concern with ball (aside from what wacky jump shot) is his dad i'd hate to see unnecessary drama around the lakers because of that moron
They're interviewing all the top prospects in attendance, specifically Fox and Fultz who are there. Jackson and Ball aren't attending.
It must suck to be Magic, Rob and Luke sitting at this combine not knowing if we have that top 3 pick. Obviously they have to do their homework in case and for that 28th pick, but still. As for who I'd take if we keep the pick and don't trade it, I'm just not high on Fultz like everyone else seems to be. He has the issues we are trying to fix, not a defender, not consistent, we already have Russ for that. If I'm taking a guard I'm taking Ball who can change the culture of an offense with his passing skills similar to what Ben Simmons displayed before he got hurt, or Fox who is lightning fast and an absolute pest on defense. I'm just not impressed with a guy who can score a lot of points on an 8 win college team. I also don't get the Josh Jackson love, he's so unpolished to me and he isn't a good shooter.
I have a feeling Mitch may also be keeping himself in the loop in case another job opportunity opens up. He can't just take time off and jump back in.
Jordan Bell looked good in stretches in the NBA Combine scrimmage on the defensive end. Not saying I want to pick him for 28th but he'll be around when we make that pick.
He was awesome in the tournament, crazy motor, non-stop hustle. If we had to part with Nance in a trade or are concerned about his knees long term, Bell would be a good replacement IMO.
what do you guys think about drafting Monte Morris for the 28th pick? Here is his profile. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Monte-Morris-72551/stats/ His assist/TO ratio is amazing. In think he can easily run the second unit from bench.
I was definitely impressed with him in the tournament and think he's worth a long look. Especially if we trade anyone.
Jordan Bell would be awesome with the Houston pick. I'm curious to see if he really measures out at 6'9"
