I missed Mozgov and Robinson, so I don't know how they came off, but Julius isn't talking like a guy who is leaving (Metta and Nick).

Yeah I see why losing Metta and Nick sucks but it makes sense. Rob and Magic have a plan for rebuilding and maybe they want a different look at vets or even more young guys.

Both have been professionals in their time here. I think Metta has an assistant coach position with us if he wants it but he's made it clear he still wants to play, might happen overseas who knows. Nick came here (for cheap too) when no one wanted to play here and he really evolved his game this year when we were rolling.

Well, we had Nick and Lou shooting lights out for most of the season but we couldn't defend a lick.

But Nwaba and Brewer are the type of players we need to surround our core players with. That's where a bulk of the scoring will come from anyways.

If brewer and nwamba is going to be our core of our bench scoring, its going to be another bad yr....i really dont think we'll have alot of success if we dont have floor spacers in the starters or bench

I didn't say they would be the core, they would be the supporting cast.

to shoot like those guys, you better be tony allen, first team all defense type. brewer definitely isn't; nwaba probably isn't (just speculating based on percentages). brewer has had a decade to develop a shot and hasn't--that has kept him moving frequently over the years.

it would matter less if anyone on the roster but russell was a threat to make a shot outside the paint, but man, it looms large right now.

It makes no sense to keep MWP as a player next season. It's time to start using roster spots on younger guys with potential or veterans that will actually play and can play the entire season. I'd love for MWP to stick around as a coach and continue to mentor the young guys, but as a player it's over. Nick Young, don't care about much either way, I'd keep him for cheap since we lack 3 point shooters, but it may be time to move on. Randle, like him a lot, but he's the first of the core to be traded for me if we can land a very good player or an all-star.

i love metta and i wish he'd play for the lakers forever but obviously it's time to move on. i just hope he sticks around as a coach because he's it really seems like the kids love him

if swaggy walks we need to find a 3 pt specialist to replace him. i'm fine with brewer staying but there's no way he can be relied on to replace swaggy's 3 pt production. i'd love to keep swaggy for cheap but it seems like he's going to chase the money

with magic/pelinka/luke running the show i have more faith than i've had in this franchise for a long time

Confirmed..... physical and basketball workouts with Kobe this summer for BI plus Kobe's mental tutoring.

Just saw Brandon being interviewed after his exit interview on a short ABC sports news clip and he said Magic and Rob were suggesting it in their interview too and that was his plan. Then Luke commented on it too that Kobe was more advanced than any of them on the coaching staff to do that. They probably all see that Brandon is the kid with the most approaching Kobe like attitude on the team with how focussed he is and non stop about it.

There was no Deng exit interview in the link. Maybe he will come in when Russ does his. I will be interested in how he thinks he did overall this year.
