I was joking of course about BI eating him up now but you know with the confidence he's building along with his skills and wanting to wring every last bit out of his rookie season that he will go right at KD, show him how much he thinks he's progressed and enjoy the process win or lose. Love this kid.

Can't tell you how much I love that response.

    F the tank.

Try and win. Learn how to win. That's the only way you get better.

A quiet thread for him, but he played about as well as he's ever played last night. He's still got a hundred miles to go on defense, but Julius is at his best when he's working this hard on the glass. Julius tends to get his head down when things don't go his way. It's as much a sign of immaturity as anything that Russell goes through. Clarkson was asked after the game how can he tell when Julius is going to have an inefficient night or an efficient night and he said basically that as long as Julius is working hard and has his motor going, he's effective.

Julius only ended up with 6 rebounds, but 5 of them were offensive. Part of the issue is that the Sacramento bigs are long and rangy which we all know he struggles with, but Julius is stronger than any of them so I appreciate how aggressive he was.

There were times early in the game when he and Russell and Nance Jr. were arguing about defense and usually that's when Julius sort of packs it in mentally. He came back and had as strong a game as I've seen out of him. Russell did the same thing a few games back. The kids are finally learning! It only took 157 games!

Randle taking about b-ball gods... while we're the second worst team in the NBA (Phoenix is better, just tanking hard) is golden...

Unless he's suggesting they can still win and the basketball gods will still give the Lakes a top pick.

Let's see.. We secure the 3rd worst record & then go on a win streak to close out the season..
    Very Interesting..

Crystal Ball? That we were assured of having with the 56% odds of the 2nd crappiest record? Shoulda started tanking earlier to run Brooklyn down for that 100% certainty. Oh wait.

Heck, we still would have only had a 64% chance of keeping our pick.

I'm still confused about possibility of a team not in top 3 jumping into it and forcing us out. Like if someone jumps both #1 and #2, we could theoretically stay at 3?

Sure. Because the balls are drawn for each position. So, just because someone jumps from 4th to 2nd, that doesn't mean we're bumped out. We still have the same % chance of landing third.

    1. #4
    2. #5 (Minny jumped to #1)
    3. #4
    4. #5
    5. #6 (Mavs and Knicks jumped to #1 and #2)
    6. #2
    7. #4
    8. #4
    9. #6 (Hornets jumped to #1)
    10. #2

Well that was depressing. I probably shouldn't buy a lottery ticket anytime soon.
