Let's hope the basketball gods reward our winning and doesn't reward the Suns for losing 10+ in a row.

I just honestly keep coming back to last night: anyone upset with the win either didn't watch the game or doesn't understand it.

We finished the game with Nwaba (D-Leaguer), Ennis (borderline NBA player), Metta (shouldn't be in the league), Robinson (borderline NBA contributor), and Brewer (the only NBA player, but severely limited). We finished the game with a roster that probably rivals the one the D-Fenders are going to use tonight in the D-League Playoffs. They sat Russell all game. They played Randle less than 30 minutes (none of the 4th), they only let Ingram play for 1 quarter, and they pulled Clarkson because of a minor knee bump. If you win the game still, oh well. They did everything they could to lose and still got it.

On top of that, the first quarter was a thing of beauty and I've never seen consistent energy defensively like they showed there. It was awesome to see that kind of effort. Let the chips fall where they may.

Screw the pick, I rather develop a culture of playing hard to win. This tanking mentality isn't good, if we get the pick great if not we still have an off season to get better, do your best to trade the minimum for pg13 and keep Ingram, dlo and Zubac. Go after Gordon Hayward, get a meeting with magic and Rob see what happens.

Seems like the way they did it was the right way in terms of my grandma in Greece knows we're tanking... but when you Tank this is how you do it in terms of pulling guys like Randle and Ingram for the better of the upcoming season. Try to keep the pick, saving the tread on the tires and possibly preventing a freak injury, gives other guys opportunities to show themselves and grow with experience/minutes.

Real! My dog, always nice to know I got a home here and catch up on the lakers 0-100. We salute you sir!

Didn't watch the game, saw highlights...liking what I've seen hear and there with Nwaba,Tarik,Zu,Brew(always been a low key fan),Ennis. Ingram continuing to grow and praying Russell&Randle can squeeze more juice out to take their games to the next level. Consistency of greatness.

I think that said more about the spurs and how weak their depth seem to show. Good luck in the playoffs at best reaching the WCF.

Let's get this effing pick which hopefully is Lonzo or at worst Jackson(which would give us a great asset to guard opposing teams best guard), and bring on Paul George in 2018. Let's go lakers, let's....GO.

Though he did popularize "eye test" and called Clarkson in 1st Summer League.

I'm not sure this is something you should say. Having a team you prefer is fine, but when coming into the NBA generally you say "I'm happy to play for any franchise", because you could end up anywhere and you don't want to piss off your future employers. I'm sure Paul Pierce would have rather gone to LA than Boston when he was drafted, but he kept his mouth shut and now has a pretty great legacy as a C bag (which kills me to say). Stay humble, kid, you haven't earned jack yet, look what happened to Austin Rivers when he talked crap about NBA players, his daddy is the only one keeping him in the league.

He's said "I'll play anywhere" a ton of times, it just never made headlines. I listened to him on his last ESPN tour with 710 and SportsNation and he said a bunch of times "I'd love to play for the Lakers, but I'm just happy to be in the NBA. I'll play hard for whoever drafts me."

That quote was turned into ^ that headline.

So is the tank is officially over now? Orlando won last night meaning we can't go any higher in the standings (or lower from a certain point of view). And Phoenix isn't likely going to win another game, let alone 2 games to where we could get sole possession of the "#2 seed" in the lottery. I guess the Suns could pull off an upset in Sactown essentially landing us an extra 5% in the odds.

We've got Kings, Wolves, Pelicans, and @Warriors.
Suns have Thunder, Mavs, and @Kings.

If we keep playing the way we're playing, we can go 2-2. Suns at best are going 1-2 the rest of the way.

I hope we win 4 games in a row. F*** it. Let's end with some positivity.

We probably can go 3-1. The Warriors aren't going to play their starters many minutes in that final game. They may bench some of them entirely.

Personally I think on the whole Plaschke has gotten better last few years since prior to that he was half of the Dumb and Dumber duo with T.J. Simers. But today I had to tweet at him that he's lost it or gone senile with a couple blasts at him. After this late to the game rant on tanking in Times today. Must have instead meant the FO's free agency suckitude.

"The Lakers are partly responsible for this mess. If Jim Buss had not made such questionable draft picks in recent years, they wouldn’t keep be in this position."

Make that last 3 not 4 years with Buss and Mitch's picks. Scouting dept. has been money. Clarkson, Randle, Russell, Nance, Ingram, Zubac.

You've lost it with this late to game tank rant. Draft picks last 4 years have been great for most part. FA is where they have sucked.

@BillPlaschke Have you gone senile with Friday's Lakers tank rant? Jim Buss's "questionable draft picks"? Am sure you meant FA suckitude.

KD will probably play though to help get the rust off before the playoffs but the rest of the starters might not play that last game.
