Not too thrilled either. I was hoping for a trade with a team that's under the cap. Oh well...

Yes, Houston "wins" the trade because they accomplished their goal for the trade of acquiring real firepower off the bench for a deep playoff run this year and next. But, they jettison a 1st which under the new CBA will hurt them downline.

But, we also "win" the the trade because we accomplished our goal of acquiring an unprotected 1st this year which gains us another young cheap asset and a decent deep rotation player for this year and an expiring contract asset for trade filler.

Trades are not always who got better right now. It's all about the team goals going into the trade and evaluating how close each trader got to accomplishing that goal.

Admittedly, after looking at what the Nets got for Bojan this trade looks a lot better.

The Nets took on a bad contract, gave up their 2015 1st round pick and gave up their 2nd most productive player all for that Wizards 1st round pick.

Honestly, taking back Brewer was not bad to begin with IMO and this just makes it even look more palatable.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst says the Lakers are trying to expand the Lou deal? Are they gonna do a 3 team trade with the 76ers?

I think jahlil has loads of talent and potential, I really hope we try to aquire him for some draft picks, maybe trading Nick for some 2nd rounders plus Houston's pick and a Jose Calderon etc will be in works. Even though jahlil is a liability defensively he can drop weight in the off season gain muscle and work on defensive fundamentals. He's very young and extremely talented offensively. Getting talent for potential future trades is a must. So I'll gladly go for him

He no longer fits in any way here. No thank you.

Seems like a throw in name anyway.

For a second? Okay. If the asking price is a first, no thanks. He's a decent offensive player with zero defensive showing so far.

Honestly, if the Sixers are so hard up for a 1st round pick, I'd send them the Rockets' 1st rounder we got for Lou if they take Deng or Mozgov's contract off our hands. They don't even need to send us Okafor.

Heck, I'd send them Deng and the Houston first and even take back Jerryd Bayless' crappy contract.

Yeah I loved Okafor pre-draft but boy was I wrong. He doesn't fit our team nor the modern game.

Okafor, Zu and then Mozgov sitting there eating up 15 million...This makes no sense for us whatsoever.
