Them paying no taxes should stop. I remember a few years ago GE made several billion in profits and paid no taxes.. not "a little". I mean zero. Nothing. Nada. That was under Obama, but definitely not the only company or president.

Trump is trying to lower the tax penalty on money in overseas banks. If companies bring that back, that'll help too.

 

I'm not sure what you're referencing. I Googled top news in Sweden and AP has this story, but not sure what it has to do with Trump.

Nowhere in the quote you provided did he say terror attack. But they are rioting and having problems (see article link I provided).

Today he said Anti-Semitism needs to stop. Ann Frank foundation said his comments were too little too late. Huh? Anti-Semitism has been the most popular hate crime for the past decade. Now it's Trump's fault for not denouncing it sooner.

 

The rioting. He commented on Ferguson and Baltimore riots too. Doesn't mean "terrorist attack." This is a great example of the Fake News.

 

He really needs to stop getting his news from Fox News though, it's pretty embarrassing. As president I would think you need to look to many sources and find credible ones.

 

This is a pretty serious concern for me. I understand he has a personal beef with the intelligence community, but they've got to be more reliable than Fox News, right?

In politics there is always an opposition party that criticizes the party in power. When those roles switch it’s always interesting to see if the same critiques still apply. Republicans rightly took issue with President Obama’s frequent and expensive vacations during his two terms. But now, with President Trump in office, they haven’t uttered a word about his even more expensive routine. Flying Air Force One to Mar A Lago every weekend has already cost taxpayers $10 million over his first month as President. If that rate of spending keeps up, President Trump’s travel expenses will exceed President Obama’s within a year.

The fact that Republicans haven’t raised any concerns with this excessively wasteful spending speaks to the biggest problem most people have with politics. Politicians are hypocrites. Just because they criticize the other party for doing something doesn’t mean those same rules will apply to them in the future. Double standards abound in Washington and the fact that President Trump is quickly outpacing President Obama on vacation spending is a perfect example. In addition to the tweet embedded below, Trump criticized President Obama on countless occasions during his Presidential campaign.

President Obama’s vacation expenses totaled up to $97 million over eight years, and President Trump is estimated to have already cost taxpayers $10 million. That only factors into account the three trips he’s taken to Mar A Lago in Florida and is based on a 2013 estimate. Taking into account inflation, the total could be even higher. Nonetheless, in ten months President Trump will have eclipsed President Obama’s vacation spending. Yet, there’s been no outrage from purported fiscal conservatives who made the same criticisms.

Luckily, there are a few non-partisan organizations that will remain consistent no matter which party is in the White House. Judicial Watch is monitoring President Trump’s travel spending closely and has already pressured the administration to release detailed budgets. If they don’t, the organization will likely file a Freedom Of Information Act request. They filed thousands of FOIA’s under President Obama and thus have the requisite experience needed to get results. Watching the administration’s vacation expenses is worthwhile, as is the other work they’ll have their hands full with under the opaque Trump administration. Principled conservatives, among others, ought to be grateful for their thankless work.

Trump is a joke but sadly, America doesn't deserve better.

 

Bull S***. We do deserve better. The majority of Americans weren't really fond of either one. Does German television make it seem like we all desperately wanted Trump or Clinton? Sure the people at those rallies wanted them, but most people are disgusted.

 

I'm with you. That's just an ignorant statement, period.

Politically, I'm more Libertarian than anything else, though I also lean Conservative (economically, primarily). I wasn't a fan of Bush, nor was I fond of Obama as Presidents.

This past election posed a serious conundrum for me since I genuinely despised Hillary, and wasn't a fan of Trump's off-the-cuff rhetoric. Thus, I voted for Gary Johnson, even though I wasn't even really a huge fan of his either. His policies weren't really truly Libertarian in many respects, but I couldn't in clear conscience vote for Trump.

Now that Trump is in office, I find myself being pulled in multiple directions: Part of me doesn't like some of the things Trump has popped off about, but the other part can't help but hold quite a bit of disdain toward most mainstream media outlets for their mostly over the top attacks at the White House after 8 years of essentially being a giant fan club of Obama. I've actually liked some of the moves Trump has made thus far, but the execution of things as well as the way he just tosses things out there verbally wreak of incompetence.

Personally, after a month of him on the job, I still prefer his Presidency to Hillary. She was a horrendous candidate and that was proven true by the fact that she couldn't beat such a polarizing candidate in Trump.

 

I doubt any sane American would trade Trump for Merkel. And I say that knowing millions HATE and / or FEAR Trump. But Merkel? Bruh.

 

So now the White House released a statement saying they expect local law enforcement agencies to enforce federal marijuana laws instead of it being a state to state issue.

But on Thursday, the White House told law enforcement agents to interfere with state laws by enforcing federal marijuana laws when they come into conflict with more permissive state laws. We should be moving toward the decriminalization of marijuana, not reverting the progress that states have made by increasing federal enforcement."- Bernie

 

I 100% agree. I thought that was a bull**** move.

The only reason I could think Trump wants in on marijuana is because he wants a piece of the pie. The government can't get taxes for transgendered kids so screw them, but they sure can get a couple bucks of every purchase of weed.
