    Couple of thoughts:

Vlade made this deal. It's awful. This is WHY you don't want Magic handling the day-to-day operations. That could be us if Magic wants to turn into Isaiah Thomas.

Addtionally, ask yourself this question, if Magic is in charge, does he include Ingram in the deal to make it work and blow up what we have?

Mitch isn't getting fleeced. He's made a ton of mistakes, but in trades (minus Nash which was hindsight for most of us), he'll do the right thing; MOST OF THE TIME. ;).

I'm glad to see that we're active as well.

He's playing with Davis, though. Would you want to stay in that podunk market, though? NO is taking a chance. We'll have a real shot w/him, though. Believe that.

This too. Divac is such a dumba**. He doesn't even deserve to be called a GM. Freaking stupid.

Johnson will have more of an impact convincing Cousins when we sit down with him during free agency.

In history? No. Unless they win 3 rings and all 3 go to Hall of Fame like Parish, McChale and Bird.

But with Boogie and Brow, they have potential. Lots of it.

This is to appease Davis more than anything... Agree with what John3:16 said, no.

I think it'll great depend on what the NO locker room is like and how that team responds. For instance if they miss the playoffs, all bets are off.

The Pelicans end up doing okay even if he leaves. None of those pieces mattered and this at least shows Davis they're trying. A couple picks is worth that.

Still you better believe Boogie is eyeing this market and that Free Agency. It's up to our FO to make us look good enough by then.

This. And one last thing to note, Mitch and the FO (looking at Jim) had every reason to make a big splash like getting Cousins and sacrificing the future in letting Ingram go but made the smart move again.

    Props

League sources tell http://Hoopscritic.com that the Lakers are trying to trade both Lou Williams and Luol Deng before Thursday's deadline

If Boogie would have been willing to stay I would have packaged BI to get him.

Kings' owner needs to get out of the mix and just own the team and hire a better GM.

I applaud the Lakers' effort in trying to trade Deng but good luck with that.

As for the Cousins deal, the Kings got fleeced and the Lakers could have easily offered a better deal without Ingram but the Lakers being in the same division certainly made it unlikely that the Kings budged off that high demand. Plus I'm sure Divac didn't want any potential backlash of aiding the Lakers.... Not that he isn't getting backlash as is for other reasons.
