    Russell and Randle

Im getting increasingly frustrated with them.

Out defensive effort is trash at best.

when was the last time the lakers were decent on D? even in phil's last season i remember they were pretty crappy on D

since then there's been absolutely no effort whatsoever to improve on that end

The 2008-2010 squads weren't great on D under Phil, but they had 7-footers in the paint and two linebackers (MWP & Fish) who could be physical on the perimeter. Combined with our halfcourt offense that limited transition buckets, it was enough to get the job done.

Our heads weren't in this from minute one. Long time to think about this one before next game. Might even have a new player or two on the team by the time we play again. the next week will be interesting to watch.

When the lakers do great we're the best young team, when we get BLOWN out let's trade everyone.... Bipolar much? Let's have patience guys, trust me better days are ahead. We have a ton of very very young guys on our team, this was a back to back game as well, perhaps they were exhausted we don't know. But have patience we are already better than last year's in wins

Not necessarily looking to trade anyone but there are reports that Lou and Swaggy are being shopped. Wouldn't be surprised if we traded either.

We're at the all star break, 58 games have passed and it doesn't look or feel like the team has grown at all. We had a good stretch at the beginning and a couple games here and there where it looked like things were clicking. And a lot of games where our young players are just awful and not getting it.

This feels work than previous seasons, things were suppose to be looking better but not much has changed. We're still getting blowout by historical proportions to teams worse than us. It's discouraging to see our young guys with so much talent and potential be outplayed by other young players because they have the right attitude and work ethic.

I thought my drinking problems left with BS but guess not eh. Just absolutely embarrassing. Something has to change.

Don't get too down. We're tanking. Hate Moz and his contract all you want (I do), but he's a legit starting center. Benching him for Black (who I like off the bench) says it all. And if that doesn't explain it, we're starting Mr 3 Points in 28 minutes Brandon Wesley Johnson Ingram. The tank is in.

The only legit starter we have is Nick, who was thisclose to being out of the league.

We need the #1 pick. These 2s aren't helping.

That was just horrible. Unforgivable really. If this is how we are going to play just get rid of everyone and start over. This ain't working.

40 point loss to the Suns...what else do you want to say? Whats the WMC...where do we start?

Put a fork in this team, blow up the front office and ship these chumps out for less talented players with heart.

Not trying to be a jerk or something but why should we trust you? Can you see the future because I can't. I know too many teams that rebuild for decades with no success.

Yes, better days are ahead. But better doesn't mean "good enough days" are ahead. There really is no point in trusting that everything will take care of itself because in this league it generally DOESN'T.

I don't think success is around the corner and just being lazy and letting everything play itself out has proven to be an unsuccessful formula. This team is just awful on every level. Jim and Mitch can't fool me with "we're so excited" because they aren't. But they can't come out and say "oh well...we couldn't sign anyone, the drafts were weak and Deng and Mozgov turned into hot garbage".

This is from gametime chat, and I agree completely. You know it's gotten bad when our resident optimist, silver linings guy, and IMO probably the most level headed and rational poster here is this disgusted.
