We were a 17 win team, FAs weren't going to be lining up to sign with us, we would have had to overpay someone if we really wanted them.

Huge spike in revenue with the TV deal, contracts were inflating for every FA.

That Jeanie/Ding collaboration right before free agency period started was a huge blow.

I tend not to look it at Moz failures. He is who he is. Everyone knew what he was. The failure is the front office putting a giant contract in front of him that no one in his position would have said no to. Many people on this board (myself included) were livid at the front office for signing him. I was never mad at Moz. If the Lakers offered me a 4 year 20 million dollar a year contract, I'd take it. I would be worthless for the Lakers as I'm a 5'7" soccer player, and I know it would likely hurt the Lakers for years having an albatross of that magnitude on their payroll. But I'd have a mansion overlooking the Pacific ocean with an Aston Martin in the garage. I wouldn't give a flying f--- about other Laker fans. :D

Then why do you do it? What does white have to do with it? That and everything else about the team you are unhappy with.

Im only unhappy with deng/moz....im disappointed in Dlo cause i know he can be better, alot better. Whats sad is how easily accepting you are with Moz eating up our cap space doing nothing. I do understand using Zu as the positive light in a way....however you noted by time Zu is rdy to get his ext Moz will contract is over. Thats not true, Zu is a 2nd rder, hell get his ext possibly after next season but before that we have to extend randle, then dlo the season after along with Nance

You're confusing me with any number of other people here going round and round with you going on and on about Moz. I stay out of contract and cap discussions. If his contract costs us someone special I will be pissed like everyone else. Just saw like others why 12:01 happened per Luke's choice. Beat him up that he didn't choose Biyombo if that's finally "your" solution as a starting multi skilled Big man. It was his pick.

    [IMG] [IMG] C'mere!

Did you just insult all white people by using it as a derogatory comment? Did you suggest that there are discriminatory "white only" benches?

    :MitchReally:

It's 2017. We don't do that any more.

    :LukeBackhandSlap:

Throughout history, there has always been an oppressed people or those discriminated against. In the workforce, we had Affirmative Action to help create equality. In the NBA, we have "Quotas", and us and Utah are consistently at the top of the league in progressive signings.

    :Signcontract:

We are to be admired for this practice. Sure, some of the contracts are....

    :Mindblown:

But, the hidden incentives from the league, the benefits to the marketing department targeting specific demographics.... it's a huge business decision.

I love all of our white players and coaches.(Most who weren't very good players or couldn't make it to The League due to discriminatory practices)

Sure, as players they might be

But their locker room impact cannot be underestimated. Nothing lightens the mood like a white dude trying to dance.

    :Madsendance:[IMG][IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I mean... [IMG] or ... [IMG]

We take discriminatory language and talk seriously in Laker Land, so let's just say I'm keeping an eye on you.

Every time this thread is bumped I open it hoping to see that he's been traded or at least asked for a trade.

There will be a better chance of MJ unretiring and playing for the Bucks than Mosgov not finishing out the contract in a Lakers uniform.
