Is there a stat for most shots blocked against?

Not sure even the big step back can save him in the NBA

    :Kobe Snickering:

Besides that, I still think he's a solid baller.

I think dad likes the spotlight more than the kids.

I might be impressed with myself if I had raised 3 NBA sons, but you still need to check yourself.

That shot is my #1 concern with Lonzo. I really don't think he'll be able to create that shot in the NBA. As an off-the-ball guy? Yeah maybe. I could see him spotting up while someone else creates, but as a shot for himself? That thing is getting sent back.

Still he runs a team with poise and he's shown some ability to get to the rim. I'd take him in a heartbeat... just not first.

Do the brothers have the same mechanics on their J? Have not seen. :KobeConfused: .... just don't understand how it gets this far along when clearly the NBA is the goal.

I don't know if it was already posted, but Lonzo Ball's dad creeps me out.

Lonzo killed it last night. Great second half and totally clutch down the stretch. We could use some of that.

To quote (Richard) Enberg .... Oh My!! [IMG] ..... from the dad not the player before he even gets to the league. You bet that game gets easier in the Pros, especially with that ugly a** shot from in front of his mouth you weren't a good enough stage dad to correct the first times you and your basketball playing wife ever saw him becoming attached to it.

At some point soon the kid has to tell Pops to STFU.

Yes...he does. For every father to a Magic Johnson, a Joe Dumars, a Richard Sherman, there's one who is the opposite.

I think his mechanics have stifled his mid range game too; I don't think I've ever seen him take a midrange shot. I definitely would take him too, but it's going to be a project similar to Ben Simmons and trying to make that shot more quick/fluid.

If we got #3, I would be interested in Josh Jackson; we could use an athletic wing that is great on defense. He has worse shooting problems than Ball (in terms of making shots), but similar players that he's been compared to (Wiggins, Butler, Leonard) have been able to improve a lot.

I think his mid-range would have to consist of floaters. I can't really picture him getting consistent NBA separation with that shot, but floaters work. I don't recall if he has much of a floater game.

At #3 I'm looking at Jackson, Monk, and Isaac. I've cooled a bit on Tatum and I don't like Smith for some reason I can't explain to myself yet. I don't think there's anyone that challenges those 5 for the #3 spot though. I'm not overly interested in Markkanen, Ntilikina, or Bridges. Fox looks like he's got NBA tools and he's a little interesting. He's also very little with a small frame to boot.

From what I've watched, Ball has shot floaters in the lane and can take it to the rack. He prefers long shots and needs work on his mid-range game. Ball has above average defensive skills with good anticipation playing the passing lanes with quick hands. His best on court attribute is his unselfishness. My take is that if Ball falls in our laps, I see him taking over for Russell if the latter does not clean up his play, friction develops or a combination of both. I wouldn't mind Fultz either.

I would prefer Fultz honestly just because he's more mutli-talented. Fultz has few holes in what he can actually do. He can shoot, drive, dish, defend, and board. He doesn't have the same obvious limitations that Ball does.

He also is more of a hot head and can struggle with maturity which would not be a great fit. Tough call but I'd prefer the talent. We can always trade talented guys.

Laker Film Room did a piece on Ball that talks about the same thing I talked about with his mid-range issues except he does it much better than I could.

To be honest, I lean on Fultz too. He looks to be a better fit alongside Russell. Fultz has a more refined overall game and I like his shooting form where he can score at all areas of the floor. As much as Fultz can be temperamental, his personality would not be a problem to Russell's who's accomodating. The last Laker two guard can be said to have the same demeanor...not that I think Fultz can reach that strata.

If neither are there anymore...Jackson is it providing he declares. Starting unit of Russell, Clarkson, Ingram, Randle, Zubac/Mosgov. I would think Young is gone. Williams can fuel the second unit assuming he is not traded by the deadline this season or the next.

i guess i need to watch more of ball. first couple of times i saw him, i thought the gap between him and fultz was pretty big, but nobody seems to agree with that stance.
