I don't think the Magic would have any interest where they are swapping Biyombo for Mozgov. Say what you will about the former but they apparently like him enough where he isn't in the lump of players they are shopping.

If anything, given the construct of their team and SF seemingly being their primary need, I'd float the idea of them taking Deng because, well, why not.

Deng, Nance Jr., the expiring of Calderon and a 2nd rounder for Ibaka and the expiring of Jeff Green
Worth a shot. Maybe they might value Deng's "veteran presence" and "leadership"

Would the Lakers and/or the Bulls do either of these trades?

    A) Butler/Rondo for Randle/Williams/Deng
    B) Butler/Rondo for Randle/Clarkson/Deng

    Discuss.

La couldn't say yes fast enough....Chi might die laughing. With every team looking to trade a super star they're always going to want picks in return and Deng devalues any and every positive valued asset he's attached too.

I'm not so sure about either of those points. We'd have to deal with Rondo for another 1.5 years, which I'd gladly do, but I can see if management would be leery about that. As for Chicago, what is it that they want? (I'd give them our pick, too, if we kept it.)

I'm 100% in agreement with Khmrp.

The Lakers wouldn't have to deal with Rondo for 1.5 years because only 3 million of Rondo's contract next season is guaranteed if waived before June 30. Which obviously if he was problematic for that 0.5 years that involves this season, the Lakers would do. And even if they were stuck with him, small price to pay to get Butler at that price and dumping Deng.

As for Chicago, if they are trading Butler, then it's a clear sign they are rebuilding. The Bulls would look for the usual young talent, picks and expiring contracts mix that rebuilding packages are built around. As such, Deng and that contract is a massive "no thank you" on their end.

Multiple people suggesting Lou could get us a first. Who's interested? The Sessions and a first sounds good. There was another rumor elsewhere for someone else's first.

The suggestions I threw out a while back were that (Sessions and a 1st) or to Detroit for Ish Smith and a 1st.

I haven't heard any actual Lou trade rumors personally.

I read the Christian Rivas article from 2 hours ago. There wasn't any actual trade rumors in there. More so that Kupchak isn't actively trying to do something and then two proposed ideas by Nate Duncan/Kevin Ding involving Charlotte and Washington.

Curious if anyone has heard any rumblings out there about Lou. Or Young for that matter. Hope the chatter picks up closer to the trade deadline. I'm not saying trade for the sake of trading but I'd like to see the Lakers be active in terms of trying.

I think this would be more appealing to them if we kept picks between 2-3, so after the draft order, would you think this offer is fair?

Randle, #2 or #3 pick, Mozgov for Rondo, Butler

I still think Deng can be salvaged for future production and his value to Ingrams development. Butler did say he owes alot of his development from learning from Deng the 1st couple of yrs. I think we can move forward with Black/Zu and sign another 7ft big body on the cheap to be the 3rd C.

    Lou to OKC
Kyle Singler & OKC lotto protected 1st to US

OKC needs more guard scoring and bench depth, they also move dead $ in Singer
We get a mid late 1st rd but eat Singler dead money for a few season, but who knows maybe Luke can instill some of wisdom onto Singler and he turns into someone useful, Singler use to be a decent 3pt shooter in his det days but that skill seems to have left him.

Or the Lou for sessions/1st. Gotta make it happen.

And what about Calderon for a second in a salary dump?

I just want to see us get something from these assets.

For me that's a stretch, because I can't remember us ever making a trade with the Kings. But, they are fighting for the 8th playoff spot, and Deng is not injured, while Gay is out for the season. McLemore also hasn't been as productive for them as he has in past seasons, so like the author said he'd be a throw-in. I doubt it happens, but I like the suggestion, anything to get rid of Deng.

The deal would be very nice for us - and would give us a great deal more flexibility.

That's a good trade for both the Kings and the Lakers. Deng will probably be back to Chicago Deng for them. The Lakers get rid half of Mitch garbage
