    It's unorthodox, that's why i like em. If the future sec of state has got Russian ties, oh well, I hope that it translates to a better relationship with them.

    His cabinet has got people who know how to make money, sadly, that's what the us desperately needs...

    The whole conflict of interest thing is straight BS, almost every single politician that runs has some sort of conflict of interest, especially if they have done something on a national/global scale, which most of these folks have...

    But all these pragmatic minds and people who know how to make money, got me optimistic for the economy.... if it turns out they do nothing for us, than we criticize then, but they aren't in office yet...

    He's kept 1000 jobs in Indiana, and got a Japanese software company to verbally commit 50 billion dollars into the USA... I'd say that's a good start

    Those people know how to make money for themselves, not for the economy. The problem with the economy is the dwindling Middle Class, not the US making money.

    The problem with this is that the people who ARE making money, are not contributing their share of taxes to the economy, and that includes those in the government and big companies. The programs that are designed to help the low/middle class, which a growing GDP depends on, are dying and Trump is not doing any favors for those programs.

    The 1000 jobs in Indiana? Giving a tax break to a company that has government contract opens up a can of worms. What's to stop companies from demanding a tax break so that they keep their jobs? See the conundrum here? The money that the company is saving won't truly make it down to those jobs that were just saved. These companies are trying to keep costs low to keep the price of their product low, and the number one way to do so is to keep employee costs low without sacrificing quality. So sure, they get their jobs back, but expect them to be saving more then spending.

    When you bring in players from oil companies and global financial institutions, it's just asking for corruption in the form of loopholes to save them billions, and depriving the US from the tax income that would derive from it.

    How do you increase the middle class? You bring good paying jobs to the us. How do you do that? You create a competitive playing ground for businesses to establish themselves here in the country... you bring manufacturing back to these torn down cities in the east coast... I'm pretty sure that's a basic formula to bring back the middle class..

    The whole tax thing is way over my head, not going to even attempt to talk about that, but. And I'm speaking from just my perspective, not fact, that I don't think higher taxing for large businesses is the answer to fixing the economy.... that's just gonna make them take off and leave...

    And your comment to the executives bringing in corruption, just gonna say, it's already corrupt as it is.... so having a fresh new start isn't such a bad thing, you say it's asking for corruption, but I say it's something fresh, and we haven't seen anything like this yet, so I say let's give it a chancw

    Again, the problem here is that business are trying to turn a profit with their products, and the first thing they look at is payroll, not how they can cut corners on their product. That's the entire justification behind outsourcing.

    Yes, the jobs that are "staying" is a good thing, but the bad thing is that these jobs aren't going to be paying well. When these companies receive tax breaks to keep jobs in America, the money isn't going to the jobs that stay, it just creates a credit on the companies balance sheet to figure out how else they can earn more of a profit...keep wages low.

    Technology and globalization has forced the hand of business in the US. It created a business process model that allows company to save money while turning a profit. That's Capitalism!

    It's kinda ironic when so many Conservatives were against Sanders, specifically the working class ones. These blue collar workers who were demanding jobs to stay in America end up getting help from the government to stay...that's um, Socialism.

    And Bernie's version of "socialism" wasn't full fledged Socialism, it was a people driven policy designed to bring back the Middle class by providing programs for healthcare, education, and LIVING WAGES, in addition to working to keep jobs in America. But you may ask, who's going to pay for all that?

    Well...that's where you circle back to the topic of taxes, and getting it from the top 1% of the 1%. Because that's where the US's wealth current resides.

    Bernie should have been the POTUS, but that rat Hillary had to get in the way.

    Anyone remember when they were a legit news source? Oh how the mighty have fallen.

    Republicans screamed about election rigging before the election and were told to stop whining. Even President Obama said to stop whining. Now that they've lost it's THE RUSSIANS. Julian Assange has been quoted several times as saying it's not the Russians. And I believe him over just about anyone.

    Today Obama called for Russia to "cut it out" and that their would be repercussions. I'm sure they're shaking. Not another red line.

    What's forcing businesses to leave isn't just taxes. It's regulations too. Non-elected bureaucrats essentially make up their own laws without approval from congress to tell businesses to do whatever they see fit. Companies in this country spend millions paying attorney's who specialize in understanding the myriad of red tape laid out by various regulatory agencies. FCC, FDA, EPA, SEC, etc, etc...

    Laws written by Congress and interpreted by Judges are easier to follow since the lawmakers often explain the meaning behind the law in an open public forum. Ditto with judges who explain their interpretation of the law. Also, judges tend to follow a practice called Judicial Precedence. Instead of just interpreting a law on a whim, they base their interpretation on previous decisions made on similar cases in the past. Regulatory agencies don't operate in an open forum and rarely follow any sort of precedence. Their regulations are written and enforced behind closed doors, which basically makes them judge, jury, and executioner with no public accountability. They're accountable only to who puts them into their position, which is usually whichever party is in power. AKA political cronies. Even the most highly paid attorney's can't reasonably determine how these agencies will operate.

    If we start translating regulations into actual laws, I believe more businesses will return. The problem is that members of Congress don't want to actually do this kind of work. They're in congress to pass bills for the donors who got them elected and toot their own horn. They've passed the buck to these agencies, so they wouldn't have to do anything. If the agencies screw up and create unpopular and unreasonable regulations, they have a scapegoat to point a finger at.

    Great post. I'd say regulations are more of a factor than taxes. Business owners know how to navigate around taxes and can raise prices and/or cut staff to meet their bottom line. I'm not saying taxes aren't a problem, but the nonstop barrage of regulations are a killer.

    Obama is making friends.

    The Israel situation is intertwined with the UN. The Russia fiasco is interesting, because weeks before the election he said no one was messing with our election and Trump needed to stop whining. Now he's claiming the Russians influenced the election (something Obama did in Israel) and has violated the Vienna Convention in retaliation, yet has offered not one single bit of proof.

    But hey, at least he could beat Trump if they were to go head to head.

    Timeline doesn't add up:

    Dec 16th, President Obama said he told President Putin to "cut it out" in "early September."

    However, on Oct 18th, he told Trump to stop whining because no one was rigging our elections.



    How can you tell someone to cut it out in September, but in October claim it never happened and then in December say it did?

    Lost in this is the fact that Wikileaks provided real information against the DNC. No one has disputed their information. Wikileaks says it's not the Russians. We the people have been provided no proof of Russia hacking the election.

    Who are we to believe?

    Is this a joke? We SHOULD doubt the integrity of our electoral process. We shouldn't have faith in our democratic institutions. We shouldn't have confidence in the institutions of the US government.

    Thank you Russia for exposing the DNC. I don't care if they have ulterior political motives. The fact is that the DNC is corrupt and incompetent and quick to point the blame at everyone but themselves.

    But most people are eating this up. I think a lot of people have forgotten about the context of the hacks, and because of the way the media is now presenting it, some people seem to think that Russia hacked our poll machines to elect Trump. All they did was publicize the fact that the "democratic" primary wasn't actually democratic at all.
