I think you know why I'm bowing out of this conversation. If someone is genuinely interested in a discussion on a topic, I'm up for it.

all I want is someone to show me the improvement on Defense with Mozgoz in place of Hibbert, that was always my point from the start. Please go back and see where I said anything about him in a negative fashion offensively, worse thing I said was his O is basic in that w/o getting spoon fed for easy buckets there isn't much else he's capable off. Never said he was useless in anyway or terrible in anyway, I'm just not seeing these improvements you guys keep trying to debate me on DEFENSIVELY. You and Barnes keep throwing "context" at me but at the end of the day the interior defensive is as terrible as ever.

That's due in large part to Randle, Deng, Clarkson, Russell, Lou Williams, Randle, Thomas Robinson, Brandon Ingram, Randle, Clarkson, Huertas, Russell, Ingram, and Randle.

And we keep trying to explain to you why the interior Defense is as terrible as ever.

It's because There are so many bad defensive players on this team, and if you're watching the games, you would see Mozgov is generally pretty good defensively. His teammates are blowing rotations especially, on a regular bassis.

    That is why context matters.

Moz is better than Hibbert offensively by a lot. Hibbert has never been able to score even at 50% FG. Mozgov is far more efficient in the post and a better midrange shooter.

But defensively Moz hasn't been better than Hibbert. Neither has impacted the defense the way they should. Neither can move their feet or block shots. And thats why their minutes are rather limited to low 20s.

If you are going to play a slow 7 footer, the size has to produce something that justifies playing time. I just don't see this verticality impacting the game in a positive way. Averaging 8 points and 4.7 rebounds...big deal. You can find vet min. players that do that, you don't have to break the bank.

Hibbert seemed to be a more vocal presence and more of a leader than Mozgov though.

Bottom line: C is going to be our weakest position going forward.

He hasn't had a double digits rebounds game yet .

His rebounding rate is horrible : 11.9%

Not when Black is back healthy and with Robinson coming along well and Moz there for muscleing big loads like Cousins and running the floor along with everything else he does well. Going forward refers to what? Zubac in the wings. Center position is not our weakest link. In my and many others' opinions here. Sure though, everyone that wants to can b**** about Moz and Deng's salaries.

Well im trying to put 2&2 together. logic would dictate that if Moz is a better defensive player than Hibbert and has shown to be doing all the right things as you put it, there should be some incremental improvement in the metrics. if anything with young improvement on d and deng as the sf, dont you think the defensive #s should be better than last yr?

Well as i put it, common sense logic right. they were ALL terrible last yr too and Hibbert was especially terrible. but if you say Moz is "better" than the metrics should not get worse, at best maybe neutral. should be better actually woth young improved d and the supposed defensive rep of deng, dont you think?

Dude... the most important metric is 10 wins... 2 months earlier than last year.

    Precisely.

The metrics may look the same, but there's a reason we watch the games. Mozgov certainly has a great impact on the game than Hibbert did even if the stats don't bear that out initially.

One of the lousiest mobile, tall centers I have ever seen. The sheer thought of Kwame Brown makes me cringe. But at least Kwame played solid D. The only consistency Mosgov has shown is his volleyball skills.

    Nice game by Mozgov tonight.
