I am loving how so many of the experts give us credit while taking it away. Raiders are for real but they aren't going to beat Den or KC. I said before I think all those early games where we made mistakes but still found a way to win would be our building blocks for excellence. All Im asking is that we handle biz these next two games. They win both those games I think the league will fear the Raiders. again. On another note, what did the Raiders do to Warner? Watching him on NFLtv and he has his Warner's 5 QBs of the week and he rarely gives Carr love. This week Carr wasn't in his top 5 but was #1 in the fans top 5. When asked Warner said, "Carr played alright Oakland gave up the lead so it showed inconsistency at the QB spot." I literally had the cross-eyed look at that nonsense. Dude double-fractured his finger, team lost the lead while he was out and off his first series (INT) return. Oh then just happened to score the TD and the 2point conversion to tie the game, and then the drive to get the lead to win the game. Yup that is just alright.
Something about Warner I don't like...comes off stuffy, uptight and self-righteous. Respect for his accomplishments and where he picked himself up from but he has this holier than thou sort of personality.
^I agree. He even said, "well I look at all the tapes while fans are voting for only the team they watch". That was his basic defense for not putting Carr in the top 5 at all. After going out with the injury, coming back and pushing us to a win I couldn't believe it. Again, didn't matter cause its a meaningless thing but overall it seems like folks scared to simply give the Raiders full credit.
Carr wins his fourth Clutch Performer of The Week by Castrol Edge. Not bad for a player "doing alright".... Carr also "did alright" without the benefit of a running game last seen on Sunday Night Football a couple of weeks ago. Those panelists for Castrol Edge must have looked at all the same game tapes that Warner did.
Hayden off to Injured Reserve. Antonio Hamilton subbing in for him. Amerson doubtful. ...yes, F Kurt Warner.
Buffalo WR's Percy Harvin and Robert Woods not playing according to reports...so that evens out. Watkins has an injured foot so how effective he'll be remains to be seen. Put a spy on Taylor and stack the box...
And true to form he was the only on the Gameday crew to pick against Oakland. No real reason just knew he would. I hope we put 60 solid minutes and handle Buff. Our big test will be avenging the loss against KC which was an A-whipping.
I don't understand Warner - he didn't even play against us in any of his playoff seasons. *shrug* Maybe we knocked them out of a playoff?
It is strange indeed. It is one of those "I don't like them at all cost" type vibes I get watching him talk about us and especially Carr. In anycase, all these guys are touting KC yet totally overlooking Atl game today. KC loses today Raiders go into KC on Thur will be possible lock up AFC West game for us.
Atlanta shooting themselves in the foot. 2 redzone chances they only get 2 FG's. Now KC has the lead.
just got back in and saw that ATL was down 9. Denver also winning. Oakland got to handle their biz today even more so
KC has some damn luck right now. Atl finally scores. Goes up by 1. Then throws a Pick 2 to give KC the 1point lead and the game
Damn Great pass, catch and run from Carr to Coop taken back with a penalty. 51yrd play taken off the board. now 3rd and 15
