Not too many do...at this point they are adequate and trending up. Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy just don't trust them.

Chiefs and Broncos beating the **** out of each other. Would like to see Denver win it to put Kansas City two back.

    Week 13 AFC West tracker:
    Kansas City at Atlanta
    Denver at sorry a** Jacksonville
    Buffalo at Oakland

Denver, KC and Baltimore have great defenses...so-so offenses. Other than us, Pittsburgh if they get in have an explosive offense. New England is good but their defense can be run on.

Yea our defense keeps making that one dumb play that can get us out of the series. Still some young choices out there. Hayden seems to not be able to think the game through yet. He gets caught out being too grabby or caught looking. I think, like we have been for a few years overall, the D is just a step or two from being great. They bend but don't break when it matters.

Yep, that one play were Carrie got flat out burned by Ginn for an 88 yard score. Hayden is better playing the slot which is odd considering that he has more field to cover or it could be he is not matched against a starting caliber wide receiver. Our defense closes out games though...through timely sacks or interceptions.

The Aldon Smith decision could be reached by 12/2. If he could play some snaps then round into form, we'll have another terror coming off the edge. I would still like for us to have that pressure up the middle.

Damn Chiefs won off a dinker of a field goal. I was hoping for them to lose or even better for the game to end on a tie. Don't mind as some Broncos such as Ward and Marshall has been talking smack about us since their Sunday Night Football whipping.

Checking in on Derek Carr and those "First Three Years" stats:

His 19 wins is currently tied for 36th best in NFL history. Considering how terrible the Raiders were when he showed up, that's not bad. He won't finish higher than 15th on that list, but there's no reason why he can't tie for 20th with Jim Kelly and Kerry Collins.

His passer rating is 12th best, at 88.2.

Carr is 9th in passing yards, but he's within 184 of Bledsoe, and he's within 1000 yards of 4th place.

Carr is currently 6th for TD passes with 75, three behind Carson Palmer for 5th. Marino is WAY up there, but the second spot - Andrew Luck - is within reach (86).

Carr is 5th in completions, 83 behind Luck for the most in NFL history.

His INT% is the best in NFL history, beating Nick Foles by a hair.

From SI's Fine Fifteen Power Rankings:

    3. Oakland (9-2). LW: 4. The Raiders have survived a lot of thrillers, and that’s because they have a great pair of closers in Derek Carr and Khalil Mack.

    ESPN has us at #2

    2. Oakland Raiders
    2016 record: 9-2 | Week 12 ranking: 4[IMG]

The Raiders have clinched their first winning season since 2002, thanks to Derek Carr's late-game heroics. Carr has 13 game-tying or go-ahead touchdown passes in the fourth quarter or overtime the past two seasons, six more than any other QB, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Take care of biz against Buffalo and see if Atlanta can pull it off on Kansas City, we could have a two game lead in the division. That is what I am hoping for going in to Arrowhead.

...pound, it's what happens when we become an attractive viewing option. I remember in 2002, it seemed like every weekend the Raiders were on the telly.

Of all the teams we have coming up, Buffalo is the one that concerns me. On offense, they have Taylor who is a very good dual threat QB, McCoy who is a playmaking RB and maybe Watkins at WR. Their D leads The League in sacks which will challenge our O-line. Sunday has the makings of a shoot-out.

One positive I have is that our offense is really productive and did not have too much trouble against Carolina who came in as the third best red zone defense.

Nervous...but a good kind of nervous.
