"Metta probably pulled a variation on the Kobe trick, where he sought out/confronted Kobe in the lockeroom showers and said he could help him get a ring.
Metta wandered into Luke's bathroom while he was showering with a grass feed loofah and liquid soap."

I guess Ron could help when we really need a stop. Just tell him not to shoot.... maybe wide-open layups.... never mind. No shots.

Gives us for sure a proven tough guy on our squad when needed agains certain teems, among some promising others on the team. And someone that knows what it takes. Won an NBA championship in the most clutch way possible on the biggest stage. Played against and with Kobe freaking Bryant as a valued teammate.

Is his contract still non-guaranteed, or does by making the roster, he become partial or fully guaranteed?

I'd guess guaranteed. Not that that means anything.

    Well... there's this....

"Metta World Peace Says Ghost Inappropriately Touched Him at Haunted OKC Hotel
By Kyle Newport, Featured Columnist Oct 31, 2016

NBA is that Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City is haunted—yet some teams still have their players stay there when they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Perhaps after hearing Metta World Peace's story, teams will rethink their plans in the future.

The Los Angeles Lakers played the Thunder in OKC on Sunday, and a few players shared their personal experiences at the supposedly haunted hotel with Mark Medina of the Orange County Register. It would surprise nobody that the hoopster formerly known as Ron Artest had the wildest story.

"The ghosts were all over me. I just accepted it," World Peace said, per Medina. "They touched me all over the place. I'm taking one of the ghosts to court for touching me in the wrong places."

    Oh.

A story like that makes you wonder why he wouldn't go elsewhere. After all, Medina reported that Lou Williams and Larry Nance Jr. paid for their own rooms at a different hotel because they didn't want to stay somewhere that was haunted.

World Peace had a classic Artest answer: "I was watching a good movie [Money Monster] and I was tired. I didn't want to move."

All right, then. Apparently some movies are so good that players are willing to put up with ghosts. Good to know.

For what it's worth, the Thunder handed the Lakers a 113-96 defeat, the purple and gold's ninth straight loss in OKC. Perhaps the team should stay in a different hotel next time to see if that changes the mojo.

At this point in MWP's career I think he should be relegated to undersized non-athletic power forwards as he's just not mobile. Maybe the very rare enforcer assignment, but even with that there's so few players he can hang with now and get in effective position unless we have good team D as far as routing players. Still got quick hands and an eye for the ball but the lack of movement against most players is going to result in a lot of fouls. He's a short tree with a couple quick branches. Gotta think the idea with him is a player/coach position but I think we should have gone straight to coach/player development.

Harden seemed to look for Metta after scoring a bucket in the game vs. OKC. He was aware.

If MWP is going to stick on the bench and be a mentor for the young guys he can stay....

If Luke (wtf man) plays him in the 4th quarter in a close game, he needs to be let go so that can't happen. MWP has no game left in the tank. Don't be basic cable Byron, Luke!

i think luke will deploy him to make symbolic points. and i think he's comfortable losing a game here and there in service to those larger principles. luke's not stupid; he knows metta's done on both ends of the floor.
