Quick snaps.. - Crabtree > Heyward-Bey. - satisfied with the first half, really annoyed with the second. - Musgrave being conservative or Del Rio ordering him to be one? - that 3:49 remaining in the game seem to last forever. - King...the most athletic punter in The League - welcome back Latavius Murray. - so is Bortles still THAT better a pick than Carr? - Hayden fell down on that big play to Lee. - the week that Edwards and Aldon Smith comes back can't get here fast enough. - I am a Brock Osweiler fan...at least Monday night. - Week 8: Kansas City goes to Indianapolis and Denver plays resurgent San Diego.
first game all season where i wasnt pacing up and down during the 4th 5-2 feels good...onto Tampa Bay
Yesterday was what me my buddies called The Penalty Bowl that was rough but i'll take that type of comfort level going into the 4th every week how about that Marquette King run tho? Shane Lechler would have pulled both hammies trying something like that
The penalties... Even the play by play guys where having fun with it. It was one crew chief Swearingen whom they noted did the same thing last week. The win was decisive but still some parts where I was asking myself if we were going to let them back in. That rookie Ramsey is a stud corner. King's run had me laughing and I still am now that you brought it up... Even his teammates were shocked and surprised judging by their reactions in the sidelines. I still think Tampa Bay will not be an easy out... Winston is better than Bortles. He also has a capable receiver in Evans. BTW...Jacksonville was a slight favorite going into yesterday's game.
^It is so odd that this group is much more focused on the road than they are at home. Rodney Harrison last night said that we would be the class of the AFC West if we just won at home. Maybe we should just play our "home" games at neutral sites. Maybe it is that potential Vegas move? In yesterday's game, there was a smattering of Raider cheers. When Cooper caught a pass, "Cooop!" was heard. True that Raider Nation travels well.
its music to my ears when i hear that RRRAAAAAAIIIIIIDDDDDEEEERRRRSSSS chant on the road its like a well sung national anthem..goosebumps
AFC West related: - Texans going in to make a game out of it and they fumble their opportunity. - Osweiller...Marc Wilson 2.0? - Siemian reminds me of Jake "The Snake" Plummer.
Per SI, a prospective trade for Oakland to make: Panthers DT Kawann Short to Raiders for first-round pick At 5–2, the Raiders are leading the AFC West with the No. 8 scoring offense (26.4 average points). Still, no one is taking them seriously as a contender because their defense is 22nd in scoring (25.6 points against). FootballOutsiders.com’s efficiency rating puts the situation in terms that are even more black and white: the offense ranked third entering Week 7, and the defense 29th, with the unit being equally bad between the run and pass. The Raiders are soft in the middle, which has led to star OLB Khalil Mack getting doubled teamed and so his sack numbers are down. To put it simply, the Raiders are in need of a big force in the middle of their lineup. Gettleman isn’t going to want to jettison more talent on the back of the Josh Norman decision), but he should. Short is in a contract year and contract extension talks have not gone well. The Panthers also have other players to worry about, like RG Trai Turner, LG Andrew Norwell and DE Kony Ealy, and if they put the franchise tag on Short, they’ll likely find themselves in the same place as they did with Norman: not close on the player’s value. Instead of getting nothing in return again, like they did with Norman, the Panthers should cash out with the playoffs unlikely. Oakland GM Reggie McKenzie shouldn’t blink at sending a first-round pick. Short is worth the pick. The Raiders have plenty of cap room to sign him to an extension and he’ll be in the middle of that defense for years to come. Short, Ellis, Ward, Williams... Nice rotation of defensive tackles. Terrance "Pot Roast" Knighton is out there too. In the same article, a proposed trade of Jets WR Brandon Marshall to the Chiefs? F**k no!
My only - and I mean only - concerns with trading for Short are that we need to lock up a few guys and we are getting back Smith and Edwards soon.
Agree. Edwards is due back Week 9... Smith not sure. We have three cornerstones that need to be taken care of. Carr, Mack and Cooper in the near future.
