Zubac has them European instincts. I want to see him up against C's he has an advantage on with length/size. Get the ball and rhythm rolling with him. Confidence too.

Mozgov had that nasty spill in the third. He did walk under his own power so that is encouraging. Hope he's fine. That was a fine block on that Durant alley-oop and that dunk off the pick and roll with Russell showed a load of aggression.

It was definitely his best game of the preseason before he took a spill. If he can show that kind of energy on a daily basis then he's a keeper.

Mozgov is picking his spots...getting acclimated to his teammates and Walton's system. I would believe that he will play within himself and try not to do too much. Black is here to spell him along with that other big European kid we keep hearing about.

blocking Lillard, Curry and Durant's shots, 12:01 is slowly earning that cash

That was a nasty fall on his back / tailbone. Hope no lingering damage. I think we may see more Zubac occasionally once Luke is through cutting the last 2 guys and the season starts.

I still don't like what we had to pay for him, but so far I like the player. He sets good screens, he can shoot from 18-20, he can score in the paint, he's had some impressive blocks, and he runs the floor better than I anticipated. If he stays healthy I won't be down on him. My only real complaint is our poor rebounding as a team, he's not contributing to that as he's a little slow and not a leaper, but it is what it is. I like him so far though, especially that he doesn't fall down on every play.

my only complaint so far is that he occasionally plays outside his strengths (e.g., putting the ball on the floor, posting up similar-sized players). but that's happened less as the preseason has gone on, so maybe it was a feeling out process for him and the coaching staff.

his help d is good; his screens are good, and he's a threat on the roll, which opens up the offense (no thanks, roy).

Weak rebounder, but hopefully we have other guys to pick up the slack.

Excellent debut for Mozgov. Protected the paint, finished inside, ran the court, and a decent job on the boards. Great fit with Russell!

Doing exactly what we are paying him to do, and not hugging the floor every other play down the court.

With his mass, the worry on Mozgov is maintaining his health. Agree with his dexterity on his shots. With Black getting more burn, we should be able to limit Mozgov's minutes to a degree. What I like is his aggression in dunking. Not cute s**t up there. Mozgov did take some short face-up J's that made me wince but they weren't exactly clunkers either. In the second half, off a feed from the high post he saw a cutting Randle for an easy flush. He nailed someone with a hard pick too.

Jackson was positive about the signing so much so that he recalled one game when coaching the Warriors of how Mozgov abused his bigs.

Yeah, he just needs to stay relatively healthy. Obviously, he's a great teammate, an intelligent player who will play defense and won't do anything stupid on the court. He knows what his limitations are and is not trying to do the impossible. His health is going to be the only issue this season. Otherwise, I think he fits really well.
