I'm in Casselberry, near Orlando. We should be okay here. No evacuation orders here, and we're pretty far in land. Hoping everyone else in the path is safe where they are or has found a place to go to be safe.
Scary. But stay safe. Don't be one of those people who they tell to evacuate and you lock yourself in a bathroom or something. I have a coworker who works out of Florida who is only about 15 miles inland and he is staying at his house.
That's crazy. Local news showed a dude riding it out on his boat - tied to two palm trees. They strongly recommended he leave.
So far, so good. I didn't sleep too much, but from 3-7, we must have gotten some winds. Small stuff down. Nothing serious. Looks promising.
