Fisher might not have been the greatest of talents at the 1 spot for us but he was a huge part in our most recent championship run. He was the perfect counter to a crazy Kobe.
Love this hire but I guess we're only going to have Fish for 25-30 games this year. Wish he got Bres' job so we didn't have to hear Mike B. at all.
I wish I had saw that live too but it was in San Antonio. I was @ Staples for the next game though (Game 5 I believe) and it was crazy. They had killer graphics for it already. They started off by lowering curtains on the big screens and there was a giant 0.4 then showed the whole sequence with Duncan making that incredible shot only to be one-upped by Fish. The place blew up mad.
Just wanted to add something here. Recently, I was on a flight from LAS to OAK and 3 rows ahead of me in coach there was a dude that I could have sworn was Derek Fisher. The whole flight I doubted it because there was no way he would fly coach, and then low and behold at the end of the flight he gets up and its him! I raced after him and was able to get a picture, but was so nervous I just mumbled "lakers...great", as he walked away. I had like 4 separate stories in my head, and I couldn't muster any of them. It looks like her needed this job, so he could get back into first class
