He wants to be known as more than a basketball player. Good for him. 24 would affect so many people. He loves success and keeps him busy and vital.

At least he's finally getting the respect he deserves. Love seeing him put his all towards this post basketball life, I'm sure whatever we get from him is going to be great.
All my years of Laker fan-hood, I have never seen any player given so much accolades as 24. Deservedly too. I don't recall a Magic Johnson day. I don't recall a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar day [not surprising]. An O'Neal day [Dunkin' Donuts?]. 24 will be the one to equal or even eclipse Johnson as far as reverence of a pro athlete by Los Angeles. We always loved his honesty, won't get these kind of quotes today I truly truly hope, just to make Kobe's rein that much more unique, I pray that Jeanie and the Lakers retire both numbers. It's the only way to do it right
I wrote this for Lakers Nation on the generation of fans that grew up along with Kobe: http://www.lakersnation.com/the-kobe-bryant-generation/2016/08/24/
Oh, this is awesome!!! QUIZ: Name every player to win a championship with Kobe Bryant http://www.yardbarker.com/nba/artic..._a_championship_with_kobe_bryant/s1__21629695 I got 44/54. Got blacked out on the 3-peat real hard. Missed only 1 from the last 2 runs. A little ashamed.
