I remember season 4 took so long because Michael Cera thought he was too cool for school. Now he's probably leading the charge for season 5.
To be fair, he was. And now Arnett is almost too good for this show, but he seems like a pretty cool guy. Bojack Horseman is also a great show.
I think if Arnett took a few days off from recording the voiceover for every commercial on television he could probably squeeze filming this into his schedule.
Just finished Stranger Things...OMG for someone who grew up in the 80s I can't recommend this enough. It's Firestarter, Stand by me, ET, Goonies, Poltergeist, The Thing, rolled into one. And my favorite girl Winona Ryder is in it.
Ever since I watched the movie, The Crucible, I haven't been a fan of Winona Ryder. Maybe it's not her fault because she did such a good job of playing a b****, but .... RIP Daniel Day Lewis
The evidence (even outside of the show) was so ridiculously circumstantial I was shocked he was ever taken to prison at all. The legal system failed that family horribly, but especially that kid. I'm glad he's out, but he'll soon find the world will not be quick to embrace him. Hopefully he moves far away.
Has anyone watched Vikings? My cousin made me watch the pilot, and swore it was almost as good as Game of Thrones. She's the one who first got me into Game of Thrones so I went along, but the idea of watching a History Channel show didn't seem too intriguing. I'll admit the pilot was decent. Good production values, kinda interesting story and characters. But I don't know if there was enough in the pilot for me to want to invest 40+ hours in to watch the whole thing. Anyone have any idea if its worth watching?
really into that HBO series 'The Night Of' gave it my 30min test and been hooked since the premier...really good stuff
A few things I've watched since the end of the spring/full summer semesters: The Night Manager - it was pretty awesome TV, and it was clearly Hiddleston's Bond audition. I think he'll tend toward a Brosnan-type Bond, but I can actually see him in the role. I wouldn't hate it. (BTW, Daniel Craig's Bond audition is amazing - Layercake; check it out if you haven't seen it). Stranger Things - it's a good series. I think it's become mildly overrated, but it's a really good, nostalgic trip. Scream - MTV series that is surprisingly good, much more like the first Scream film than the others. Rome - About a decade old, but there's some really fascinating stuff going on. Lucius Vorenus is a pretty amazing character. Here's a teaser (both dudes were members of the 13th Legion; that's why they should "Thirteen!"): [media] Slasher - another horror series. It runs a pretty cool course over the season, and I really enjoyed it. It's low budget horror type stuff, but that's what it's supposed to be. The Between - man; it's a fascinating story, but I despise nearly every character in the series. Everyone age 22 and older dies. Government quarantine. Etc. The Returned - people start coming back from the dead after years. And there's a murderer who returns to town. He(?) stabs and eats the stomachs of his victims. Not sure yet how this all fits together, but I'm enjoying it.
They had a surprise series finally of Penny Dreadful. It sucks because that story could have gone on a lot longer, but it seems the show writer decided he wanted to end it, so the show ended Penny Dreadful is so underrated
Just couldn't get into the last season of Penny Dreadful. Rome is still one of my favorite series of all time. Fantastic show. The Returned is also cool because it has Winstead, I'll watch anything with her in it. The Night Manager is cool made me a big fan of Hiddleston.
Just finished episode 7 of The Night Of. Can't wait for the finale. If you're not watching this great series, what are you waiting for?
