Well that came out of left field. So this gets Ghost Rider in the MCU. I know very little about the guy but how is his story going to tie into AoS?
I'm more a Netflix Marvel guy and haven't been following the other Marvel TV shows. What is AoS? Age of ....?
Agents of SHIELD. It's a pretty good show especially for ABC. It starts rough but it gets pretty damn good after episode 17 in the first season as it starts tying into the greater MCU. As for Ghost Rider this is kind of a weird one. They're not using Johnny Blaze (aka the Nic Cage version) and instead using a newer character called Robbie Reyes. Reyes is possessed by his uncle who was a serial killer instead of a guy who sold his soul to the devil. It's a really awkward fit. I love that they're getting different, but we have no magic so far in the MCU and AoS has their hands full with all their other plot lines... I'll tune in to see how it all fits though for sure.
Oh they made him a Latino...might try to watch these non Netflix Marvel shows when I finish my Supernatural and Arrow marathons
I mean yeah. But his ethnicity doesn't matter much. He's got a great backstory and is a really good character. I'm not sure how it'll be handled on ABC, but Reyes's character has some really good potential.
That rumor has been floating around for a while, but I love it. She's gorgeous, a great actress, and will bring gravity to the role. Fantastic.
How bout that new Doc Strange trailer. That just might be a game changer Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
It looks so fun and different. That movie is going to be so weird and it's Marvel's craziest, riskiest move so far. I mean this kind of movie fitting into the world they've already built is wild. I'm almost holding my breath with this one.
Holy crap that Doctor Strange trailer. That movie is going to be crazy, very very different from any of their other movies. Really like Marvel's new approach to make their new movies able to stand alone but still involved in the rest of the universe. It's going to be their craziest ride I think.
It looks fresh, that's for sure. Not complaining about Marvel movies, love the majority of them, but this looks like a big departure from the formula, and I love that. Looks like a real trip, and expanding the universe out into even crazier areas like they said they were gonna do as they went along. Also, Cumberbatch's American accent was much better in this trailer, didn't bother me at all.
Cumberbatch Rules! I'll watch anything with him in it. Bonus, he looks just like the comic book character...
To be honest I loved the comic book origins of the one before, but hey I get it. These branch of Marvel is quickly growing away from the comic side and both of them are growing away from the television side so... Here we are.
i like it actually, shows all the work marvel studios have done so far, in which that little intro sums it up to look damn impressive
And the reality is the MCU is making great entertainment, where as the Comics branch of marvel is not doing so well. This is a step at rebranding the studios identity as something more autonomous.
Which makes me sad! There's some true quality coming from Marvel comics side among the bad stuff (really all comics are struggling these days). The Black Panther run is solid. Doctor Strange is interesting. The best one though is Vision. Vision's comic out right now is AMAZING. I don't say that lightly. It's the most entertaining comic I've read since Matt Fraction's tremendous Hawkeye run. The separation of the comics, movies, and tv shows has really killed what made Marvel truly immersive. They're really not all connected the way they can/should be.
